Jousting poses

Guess who's back already... 'tis I!! This time with a triple posepack post!

A couple months ago, I was absolutely THRILLED to be approached by @nightclifffalls who asked me if I would be interested in making some jousting poses. I've wanted to make jousting poses since before Horse Ranch existed, but have never had the ability to make my own lance or the income to commission someone else to. So this was like... a beam of sunlight shone down on me and angels started singing hehe. 😌🤣

I also discovered that NightCliffFalls had made a quintain too! SO cool!! This entire project was a gift to work on honestly, and I'm so so thankful to NightCliffFalls for having the vision and for involving me! I cannot wait to see what other posemakers create.

So what's here?

1. Jousting The main focus of course! This pack contains 4 group poses for 2 horses and 2 riders. Place your teleporters as shown in the preview to make sure they pose correctly. There are also 5 poses for 1 horse and 1 rider, which will pose wherever you place the teleporter so you can mix and match your scenes a little. All-in-ones included and honestly quite necessary hahah.

2. Quintain Training This pack contains 7 poses for 1 horse and 1 rider using the quintain, and 3 optional poses for an unfortunate squire/groom who's being made to hold the quintain steady, plus all-in-ones (see preview for teleporter placement - you will need to download the corrected version of the quintain for these).

3. With Squire This pack contains 6 poses for horse, rider, and squire/groom plus all-in-ones. These are intended for your pre-joust parade, or just to show the lance being handed to the rider.

You will need (for ALL posepacks): - Pose Player - Teleport Any Sim - lance accessory by NightCliffFalls (bracelet or glasses category) - Horse Ranch EP

Extras: - Quintain by NightCliffFalls (for Quintain Training pack only) - Knight Set by Objuct (for the packs marked Objuct only) - Iberian saddle* by MorningstarEquestrian (optional) - Objuct caparison recolours by NightCliffFalls (optional) (here too) - this medieval tournament playlist carried the whole posemaking process LMAO (optional 🤣)

IMPORTANT DETAILS ABOUT SADDLE USE: NightCliffFalls asked me to make the poses with the amazing Knight Set by @objuct in mind. For my own personal use, I also wanted to make them work with @morningstarequestrian's Iberian saddle, simply because that's the one I use for my medieval poses. Unfortunately it wasn't as simple as making a pose that worked for both, as Objuct's saddle is a little wider and higher. Therefore, I made two versions of each pack: - The packs marked 'Objuct' will ONLY work with Objuct's saddle - The packs marked 'Morningstar' will work Morningstar's regular fit Iberian saddle (with or without stirrups), as well as most EA placement saddles I think. You can have both pack versions in your Mods folder at the same time.

IMPORTANT

• I used body and head replacement by WalnutHill. If you already have any kind of replacement, you should either delete it or just don't download the ones in the archives.

• If the eyelashes in the 'feathers' section, any kind of leg wrapping gonna hide them.

• Marwari and Arabian use body/head meshes which are actually the accessories, so if you use accessory from that category, it will replace the body and head.

• If you keep Arabian's head from the mod, use bridles without noseband, otherwise they gonna look odd.

Debunking Myths

Hey everyone.

This'll probably be the last post from me!

I won't be creating anymore, as I'm sure you've probably noticed. I'm not really bothered if things get sent around and reuploaded, because that's the nature of the Sims community.

I spotted a reddit post claiming I'd been caught stealing from the Sims 3 community, so I thought I'd do some quick debunking.

Here's a photo taken from Elin's website, which you can see had my Tumblr page linked all this time because I was officially one of the people converting IHTL stuff!

My Valentines collection was actually all meshed from scratch APART from the headband, which I used an EA mesh for out of pure laziness. Just because two meshes look very similar doesn't mean they're stolen! People use the same inspiration photos.

They aren't even the same shape, not to mention just how awful my topology is compared to the incredible ones Elin made!

The Valentines jump was actually created by Dalman Jump Co IRL! I intentionally made my version a little bit different to stay respectful.

Please always do your research and don't just assume things! If you're that convinced, speak to the creator or check the mesh yourself. This kind of behaviour in the community is exactly why so many of us have chosen to leave.
