almost more than skyboxes my favorite aesthetic quality of zones is how good 1) the water looks and 2) the ground texture/clutter looks. and despite the water being rare (only in eco-domes) in k'aresh i love this zone so much

continuing my Xalatath\Locus ex-partnership headcanons i'm gonna refer to Locus-walker as Locus cause it simpler ok?ok.

It seems to me that Locus almost accidentally got his hands on her, and he immediately realized that something was wrong. Considering that he is one of the few void-Ethereals that can resist and control the abyss and its whispers, he quickly recognized that the Blade would want to manipulate him. But his interest in forbidden knowledge and the power of the Void that is hidden in her (he probably pulled some huge tricks, since half the cosmos and Legion turned on him), did not let him to get rid of the blade immediately.

So it's an interesting dynamic, where two cosmic megaminds try to outplay each other, knowing that both of them only need specific things and power from each other. But alas, no matter how clever the Locus-Walker might have been, in addition to all the steps he had calculated, Xala was playing five other games under his nose that he didn't even know about. So when he finally realized what he was getting himself into, he quickly got rid of her.

And she wanted to play with him a little longer, she liked him because for once she got in the hands of someone really ambitious and not a stupid self-confident priest or a simpleton, but so be it eh....And then she found his student and well you know-
