Rhys: He loves (and needs) both the space and the isolation of a large country home. Likes more neutral colors and generally a calm vibe.

Lixue: A comfortable, spacious house, full of patterns and colors but still at the heart of a city. What can she say? She is an urban girl.

Faz: Sleek, metropolitan apartment that oversees the bustle of the city. He doesn't need a lot of space but he likes warm colors.

The Angel: Stuff. They want a lot of stuff, colors, plants, everything. They'd prefer a house rather an apartment, with a little garden.

Listen, sometimes you're a cosmic entity inhabiting a puny ass flesh body and it gets really complicated to keep all your molecules in the right place and keep track of where people keep putting the furniture.

Omg, I literally started listening to the silt verses yesterday. Do you know any other podcast with a similar vibe?

I'm a big, big baby for anything horror, existential horror and general Down vibes so I don't have a lot of recommendations.

Obviously I am in Eskew by the same studio, which I devoured and absolutely adored. David Ward and his weird ass romance/parasitic situationship/forced inhabitation with the city of Eskew is sure a thing that haunts my mind. A bit different but in the same area, at least to me, are Mabel and White Vault.

But my big recommendation, for no reason other than I NEED to talk about this podcast is Gospels of the Flood. It dials down the horror a bit, but it is definitively cosmic and a capitalist/religion critique. Also I think I really transcended listening to it. Please do yourself a favor and listen to it. Seriously.

ROs wearing lingerie for the MC?

Rhys: Very smug, very at ease. He knows he's a handsome bastard. I don't think he'd do that unprompted, as he tends to focus more on pleasuring a partner, but that isn't to say he isn't into it, especially the aesthetic results. He wants to look good, sue him.

Lixue: She'd probably like it best if the Omen wore it, I'll be honest. She likes the show. If she's wearing it, she can be a bit bashful. It isn't the usual setting and dynamics for her. She warms up to being the center of attention every once in a while, though.

Faz: Does a whole tease show before the main act, so to speak. Could spend the whole day teasing the Omen with glimpses of what he's wearing. Into it and knows very well what flatters him the most. Pretends to be very coy and demure about the whole affair.

The Angel: I think it takes the Omen suggesting it, and they're somewhat oblivious about the sexual aspects at first. It's just another costume. Until they realize that it isn't, and then oh boy, they'll want to experiment with styles. Enthusiastic and having a lot of fun.

Most embarrassing hairstyle the ROs have had?

Boy, oh boy, visual questions make me spiral.

Rhys: Do you know the feeling when you go to a good place, the person cutting your hair looks very professional and the results still suck? Very chunky layers and all.

Lixue: Shaved her head once impulsively hoping it'd look badass and spent, like, weeks wondering if her head really looked weird or if she was just, really unhappy with the results.

Faz: Probably a mullet. But not any mullet. You know the one. That "I trusted my hair stylist a bit too much and now I look like the wrong end of the 80s and not stylish".

The Angel: "I haven't had the drive to actually do anything with my hair in ages so the thing on top of my head looks like a dead goat, no I won't accept criticism". They had their moments, for sure.

I'm doing alright, just having some really frustrating trouble with coding the first half of chapter 1 (I'm very dyslexic and very, very prone to not catching game-breaking bugs. This is not giving me twitch streamer levels of rage, no thank you very much) so that's why things are slow.

Currently doing some light rewrites to the prologue to de-stress and having, I have to say, the time of my life.

Hey, since the Angel is so jealous, may I know if, for the Angel and Rhys poly, the Angel will feel jealous at first before starting to have feelings for Rhys too (or starting to realize the feelings), or will the feelings for both Rhys and the MC be born at the same time?

I'll be very detail-oriented here and probably delve into a tangent you didn't ask for, but I'm a professional yapper.

The Angel is possessive, not jealous. Considering their inherent inhumanity and long, long history of service, they are prone to idealizing things, and especially people. You can feed into that or help them see otherwise.

This also impacts how a poly with Rhys even happens. If you help the Angel step away from the whole "another one of my martyrs! please do not threaten our thing!", the feelings will be born at the same time. If you encourage their... skewed view, so to speak, you'll have a rockier start until the Angel can fit Rhys into their headscape.

ROs opinions on forehead kisses? Both giving and receiving?

Rhys: Pretends to be cool and unbothered. 100% a mess, in both cases, because he doesn't know many people that would trust a vepyr. He's a bit better at giving becaus he can just take the plunge.

Lixue: Better at receiving. She isn't the most open and can have some troubles showing affection. However, once you're close enough, she can sink into those moments with, to her surprise, ease.

Faz: Not... the best with physical affection as a rule. 100% a privilege reserved for the few who get close to him. But when you reach that stage, be prepared for being bombarbed with little forehead kisses.

The Angel: Absolutely precious. One of their favorite ways of showing and receiving affection, honestly. There's something very tender about it to them. Can be shy about initiating it, though.

What inspired this story?

Car broke down in a very dry region in the middle of a road trip and I started going a little stir crazy as the hours went by.

Media wise, uh, I needed to use that religious education for something (those of hours of being made to read the Old Testament especially paid off) and also, I kid you not, the Terror and the Borgias.

I don't think Faz has strong enough legs for it, Rhys can probably do less complicated stuff but he is probably too mindful of his back and don't get me started on the Angel.

What sort of accents do the characters have?

You know, this is surprisingly tricky to ME, detail freak that I am. Like, do I go for in-world and get over the top in trying to describe what they sound like or real world? I've decided to go for real world accents because I don't want my brain to melt.

Rhys: Valleys Welsh accent. Very lyrical, with a very tuneful intonation.

Faz: Levantine Arabic, specifically Lebanese. Has softer intonations all around.

Lixue: Shangai Mandarin, with very particular pronounciations. She sounds fancy.

The Angel: I'm thinking Brazilian Portuguese accent for their lyrical intonations. This may change.
