found the japanese transcript alongside the us english transcript for wish room/hotel dusk, and im noticing the original is actually quite.....serious? this article from the european localization team also mentioned that alongside the us localization with all the 70s american slang flavouring the dialogue every chance it gets, the original japanese script is a little robotic when it comes to knocking on doors and inspecting objects.

im feeding the transcript via google translate obv its not gonna be entirely accurate, but i've started seeing that kyle's responses to people is usually just a simple, "understood," or "aa." when we know in the localization he likes to make little sarcastic jabs here and there and its just like hmmmmmmmmmm this is inchresting. i feel like this makes japanese kyle be more apathetic in a "tsk whatever" way, whereas english kyle is also apathetic in a "fuck around and find out" way
