Pentagram Talisman

Hi guys! Today I wanted to share with you the two pentagram talismans I did during the Pink Moon a few nights ago. I will show you step by step with pictures

I was so happy when I found out that April’s 7th full moon was also a supermoon, because I use the moon phases a lot in my work. I thought it was the perfect timing to create a talisman of protection for my home and a friend’s, that has been telling me about recent problems and negative energy surrounding her.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

- 10 wood sticks

- Rosemary

- Sea Lavander (or any flower with positive properties that you have)

- string

- cold silicon for crafts (or white glue)

- Salt

- moon water (or regular water)

- 2 white candles

- 2 obsidian crystals

STEPS:

1. Cast a circle

I always cleanse what I’m going to use in my craft. It’s a great way to purify them and fill them with positive energy. Always with the intention in mind, I cast a visible circle around them using the salt, light both candles and place them over some obsidian plates. I put the moon water on top, and while moving my hand deosil twice, I repeat this words “clean above, so as below, cleanse this materials for positive to grow”

2. Overlap the sticks

I like to begin overlapping the sticks to envision how I want my pentagram to look like. Make sure you do it in a flat surface so it’s easier.

3. Glue the tips

Using the cold silicon put a small dot in the points you think needed. When you use the string, the sticks will normally move around, so I find using a little bit of silicon really useful to keep the pentagram together.

4. Herbs

The same way you glued the tips, use a little silicon to put the herbs in the places you think relevant.

5. String

Use the string to secure the sticks, the herbs and flowers. I will normally start by the outer tips of the pentagram.

6. Inner corners

Once you’ve done the outer tips, and move to the inner corners of the pentagram. You want to start using the string vertical first, then horizontal, as for there’s more angles to bind together.

7. Repeat the steps

Repeat all the steps for your next talisman. You can also skip using the string in every corner. By the thickness of the sticks you can determine the focal points where you need reinforcement. But I will definitely recommend always doing all the outer tips.

That’s how I did my talismans during the pink moon. I placed mine in my living room and gave my friend the other one. It has giving us protection, peace and love these days.

When you can’t find a clear answer, shuffle your cards, turn them face side up, and seek guidance from The High Priestess. She is the first card of your reading. She is the balance between positivity and negativity. Struggle and tranquility. Darkness and the light. The two cards in your deck that precede her are the second and third cards in your reading. The two cards that follow her are the fourth and fifth.

Two and three represent one path, four and five represent the other. Cards two and four are things that will come in the near future. Three and five are things you can expect to find further along in your journey, depending of course upon which path you choose.

Because I’m lazy and don’t like to monologue while I’m doing a spell, here’s a couple of the single word spells I use in my personal practice.

Another Sigil Tutorial

Hello everyone! So I had a lot of questions about my other sigil posts and decided to post another method to making sigils. This is another one of my favorites to use! I just really like the way these turn out. I call this the constellation method!

Step 1: Get your Phrase

For this tutorial I'm using the phrase "Protect this place"

Step 2: Take Out Repeating Letters

So any repeating letters you have take them out! *Side note: this step doesn't matter too much because of the method which you will see in a minute but it helps confusion*

"Protect this place" becomes "protechisla"

Step 3: Making Dots

Remember this chart?

So grab this chart and just ignore your numbers. Take what is left of your phrase for us "protechisla" and make dots on all of the letters you see. It should come out looking something like this:

So now we've got our "stars" for our "constelation". Take out the chart and you should be left with an assortment of dots like this:

Step 4: Connecting the Dots

So we have this random assortment of dots and now you get to be creative and connect them however you see fit. Play around until you have something you like. This is what mine looked like after some playing around with different arrangements:

Step 5: Make it a "Constellation"

This is what mine looked like when I was finished.

This is a wonderful method for those who are still in the "broom closet" because they just look like super cute little doodles or constellations. It's a super easy method. Just remember DON'T OVERTHINK ANYTHING!!!!! Make this your own sigil. Follow the method but also do whatever feels right! And most important! Stay safe and have fun with it!!!!!

An alternative to meditation for people who can’t focus well

Hello dear little fairy blossoms! I know a few of my witchy friends are diagnosed with ADHD, and thus, they find it very difficult to focus on one thing at a time, making meditation a rather painful experience. When I heard about this technique from my friend Sapphire, I thought it would be perfect for those of you who can’t concentrate whilst meditating, and I have it from several of my other ADHD-diagnosed pals that this really does work well for them. So, here I introduce you to… energy reading!

But what on earth is that, RJ? you might ask. Good question. Energy reading is where you connect to an object and sort of vibe check it in that you can begin to understand its energy and connection to you and the world around it a little better. 

  -  First, choose your object!

  -  Rest your hands on it gently. Imagine its energy coming out of the object and rising to meet your own. Imagine it as light, if you like, or smoke. Whatever feels right for you and the object. 

  -  Be quiet with the object for as long as you’d like and think about the thoughts and feelings that come to mind when you touch it. Do you have thoughts of healing or fear? Happiness or serenity? Why do you think this is?

  -  After you’re finished, write it down in a notebook! Experiment with lot of other objects, especially plants!

Fire Productivity Spell

A simple spell to light a fire under your ass when you have a lot of things to do in a short amount of time, and need something extra to kick you into gear! Hope it helps you.

What You Need

Yellow or Orange Candle

Cayenne Pepper

Ginger

A small dish to hold the candle

Cinnamon (optional bonus)

Set up your candle in the dish. Surround it with the Cayenne and Ginger, sprinkling some onto the candle if you can. (If you have any other fire-related things, feel free to put them around the candle as well.) This will be the fire under your ass, giving you an extra boost of motivation, productivity, and focus for as long as it burns! Light the candle and begin your work.

What Are Glamours

Glamours are a type of magic meant to change the way you are perceived by others. This can mean anything from making you seem more attractive, to more intimidating, to even letting you blend in with your surroundings. With all the different possible applications, this is the type of magic I have found to be the most useful 

How They Work (Note: In my opinion. Yours may vary)

Imagine that there’s an aura of energy that surrounds you and is completely unique, like a signature. This energy acts like a filter for how people see you (as described in this post). Change the filter, and it will change the way others perceive you without actually changing your appearance at all. 

This can be done a million different ways. I find it helpful to get familiar with your energy first. Meditate, and imagine what that energy around you might look like. What color is it? What texture? How much space does it take up? Once you have a good idea of what it looks like, it becomes a lot easier to manipulate.

How To Do Them 

There are about as many different ways to do glamours as there are witches. Do some exploring to see what works for you. Do you like makeup? When you get dolled up, visualize the makeup going onto your energy. Are you a jewelry person? Push the energy you want to give off into the jewelry and wear it. I personally like to add a physical aspect to my glamours, but that’s not even necessary; you could simply imagine your energy changing in the way you want to. 

Glamours generally stay on as long as you are putting energy into them. Most tend to go away as you stop thinking about them, but I have done glamours before that tapped into my energy for far too long and had to be consciously removed. If you find this happening, cleansing yourself and then grounding will usually do the trick.

Apple Magic Good Luck Charm 🍎

You'll need:

An apple

An apple corer

Piece of paper and pen

Apples are often associated with good luck and fortune, so if you want to increase your blessings this time of year, do this spell, and let fate smile upon you.

Wash and core the apple.

On the paper, write:

Good luck in this apple round, good luck and fortune abound

Roll up the paper and tuck it inside the cored apple.

Place it someplace in your home where you can see it. If the apple starts to spoil before your luck changes, replace it with a fresh one.
