Shout out to the typesetters and other QCers for spending hours trying to decide the font style, specifically for the colour spread and pages 11-12 (so please take a close look at them). Finally, lots of thanks to @randomthoughtpatterns for helping to translate the colour spread’s poem and fix my terrible wording!

Our colouring team has also released chapter 66 in full colour. Lots and lots of coloured Furuta, that’s all I will say :)

TG Zakki: Volume Cover Comments

This is the memorable first volume cover of Tokyo Ghoul. Kaneki is holding Takatsuki Sen’s The Black Goat’s Egg.

When thinking of what feeling I wanted to create while drawing, I could only vaguely think “Let’s make it blue-ish”, and I remember drawing it very timidly.

I guess we could suppose he’s wearing Anteiku’s uniform?

Gasmask 33

Okay, i know we all have Hide-hype right now but i think we overlook something crucial because of this hype. I know the gasmask 86 = Hide theory but today i wanna speak about another gasmask: Number 33 Long Story short: Gasmask 33 is Touka

This gasmask feels pretty important to me. We only saw it recently and only in panels with Ayato and always close to Ayato. It might be a long shot but here i go:

We all know :re is re-enacting Tokyo Ghoul. Right after the Gourmet-Arc we got the Aogiri-Arc. This time we got the Tsukiyama-Arc and get the Cochlea-Arc right after. In the Aogiri Arc the Anteikus dressep up as Aogiris in order to save an imprisoned Person (Ken). The ultimate outcome was Ken saved himself and later Touka from Ayato a leader of the group who imprisoned their target. NOW we have another imprisoned Person (Hinami) and a group of saviours (Ayato, Banjou and the gasmasks) against the CCG.

It might be a long shot but i think the :re’s are dressing up again. This time as the gasmasks in order to breach Cochlea and save Hinami (and maybe even Kaneki). While saving her they encounter one of the prisoners ‘leaders’ Arima who they have to overcome. Notice how Number 33 is only shown close to Ayato only for the most recent chapters. Notice how 33 saves Ayato from Arima, i think you must be pretty quick to save someone from Narukami…

Notice how Ayato thanks 33 but 33 says nothing. Like she doesn’t want him to recognize her. Also in my opinion the bodytype would fit for touka… and the cloak covers her chest perfectly (so she is perfectly disguised).

My point is: I think we will see the Kirishima sibling reunion right now. They will team up against Arima, face their mother as a Quinque and might be able to even catch a glimpse of their father Arata.

The outcome of this scene might be Kaneki saving both of them which would reunite Hinami with Touka and Ayato. Also if there is a person Kaneki would fight for against Arima again it would be Touka or Hide and i dont think Hide is in Cochlea right now.

But well… it’s Ishida… everything is possible.
