To Hirano, Kagiura is just one giant 10,000 piece jigsaw puzzle. How he thinks, how he loves, and just how deeply that love runs - they're all pieces he's slowly putting together. They've taken him some time to process the intricacies and details on each piece. And the last few pieces he's still putting together are where he fits into Kagi's life. This Hirano-shaped puzzle piece, finding where it goes. Because loving Hirano is part of Kagi's greater sense of self, but so is being loved by him, even if the form of that reciprocated love isn't loud or groundbreaking.

One thing I noticed is that in nearly every au that i’ve heard concepts of, seen written, and written myself where the Bard survives the rebellion, Venti still chooses to take his form (or at the very least his form is highly influenced by them)
