“My collaborative approach examines the notion of ownership but also the role of the designer and the place of the museum as a place of exchange and engagement with what shape our live, identity and communities. I used traditional technique of felting associate with classical hair treatment product in order to create a textile, which reflect how hair is shaped to be a social indicator affiliation, status, culture and fashion statement across the city and its borough while addressing the challenges but the beauty of sharing the same city and living together.” Alix Bizet

We are thinking of creating an object that represents Camberwell as a whole. Imagining that Camberwell is community that has to live of one produce. For example various regions have a produce that they are famous for. Imagining that Camberwell had to live off this produce. What could it be?
Creating a collaboration between local shops.
At this point we are still looking at coffee shops, bike shops, chicken shops, hair dressers and nail salons. Creating a link between shops that have been here for a long time and the never ones.

At this stage we are looking into the commerces that we think have interesting waste. Although a lot of these places or not very responsive and we have trouble finding time to communicate with them. We have been setting up a couple of general questions to ask the shops but tend to be asked to send them emails, with no response. We are trying hard to deepen our research about the potential materials we can collect whilst waiting for responses. At this point we do not have a direction we are going into yet expect the fact we want to collaborate with a local commerce to create something that could potentially be useful to them.
