honestly??? i think ch s2 would have worked a lot better if the joan/jfk and joan/abe situations had like…..swapped places

like if joan/abe had gotten together immediately and burned too hot and fast and broken up because they realized it just wasn’t gonna work, but still care about each other. them fighting over their tortoise son would have been funny and fitting bc they have history as friends.

and have jfk be the one to harbor secret feelings for joan the whole season and give him the plot w topher blackmailing him. bc jfk would have a lot more to lose w the blackmail situation i think. his whole reputation would suffer as a result. ppl would assume he’s just being a horndog as usual. and to stoop so low??? (despite the situation w the teacher being 100% abuse ofc. but i’m talking about people’s reactions in-universe)

literally just swap abe and jfk’s places and it would have worked really well narratively i think.
