According to history, this temple was established by Lord Rama. There is a unique feature in this temple. The Shivalinga is always under water. The water is Goddess Ganga. This temple is very famous among the five famous Shiva temple of Puri.

Gundicha Temple - This is a Hindu temple located in Puri town. It has a significant during Rath Yatra. During Rath Yatra, Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and devi Subhadra leave Sri mandir or Bada Deula and going to Gundicha temple for 7 days. Gundicha considered as the aunt of these 3 siblings.
