A board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Nilay (Niley) Bhasker Thaker holds a doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) from Midwestern University in Illinois. Currently a resident of Dayton, Maryland, he most recently spent a decade caring for patients as a family physician with Frederick Health Primary Care in nearby Mount Airy. Nilay Bhasker Thaker, D.O.’s accomplishments with this practice include spearheading a transition to a new electronic health-record application and introducing programs to improve colon and breast cancer screening rates, vaccination rates in the elderly, and more.
