”get politics out of fandom” dude. Donald Trump is doing away with suicide prevention hotlines for lgbtq+ youth.
I could say here— the lgbtq+ community holds fandom on its back. We built fandom and we shall continue to keep it standing. We write the fics and watch the shows and ship the characters.
I could say here—fandom has been a refuge, like a hotline, to help depressed kids. It’s an escape and a hobby and something for someone with few other happy things in their life to focus on. It’s a way to feel okay for a few hours, while you read a fic that has representation and happiness and kindness.
but I’m not going to. Because I shouldn’t have to. I shouldn’t have to get so specific with my reasoning here. The reasoning should be as simple as: he is preventing suicide prevention.
This man does not care about us, his citizens. We could die by the thousands and he would only ask what our deaths would do to his economy. This is a matter to be taken up everywhere. Fandom. Your home. Protests. Television. Clubs at school. Online spaces. Everywhere. Becuase this is a basic fucking message, and if we shut the gates of spaces such as fandom—a large community with a large reach—to the problems going on in the outside world, we are ignoring the injustices going on and the people suffering even within our own communities, on the basis that “politics don’t belong in fandom”.
what a fucking joke.

Its so ugly, and I kind of love it for that. It is nice to see that someone was more interested in their own aesthetic, even a truly horrible one, than in the tyranny of good taste. The person or people who designed this were creating a house for themselves and not for the resale market.
This 1977 brick house in Hartford, CT may look like an ordinary suburban home, but it lets you know that it isn't.
It's not like your average mid-century- you can tell by the renovated entrance hall, here. 3bds, 3ba, 2,338sqft, $320k. Take a look at this completely remodeled home.
As we saw, the double doors open to this very different entrance hall. (I hate when they put gray w/the old beige flooring,
So, they put tile up on the walls, painted the stairs black, and painted the railing, removed the spindles and installed wire.
Coming up to the living/dining room.
Oh, no, they did not paint the tiles turquoise. Isn't that going to chip?
The kitchen's a little weird- what's up w/the fireplace in the corner? I see that they installed a wine cooler. So, this dark middle section must be the original tile.
Something's kind of off, here. The fireplace doesn't seem to fit in.
This is very confusing. So, they painted the cabinets black and installed pot lights in the soffit.
The primary bedroom is directly off the dining area.
Remodeled bath now includes a bidet and a modern sink.
This room with double doors is also off the main living area. Did they take down some walls and put up new ones? Could this be a family room?
Another remodeled bath. Looks like all baths got bidets.
The bedroom has an optical illusion mural.
Back down on the ground floor, we have a half bath. Whoever installed the sink didn't line up the pedestal correctly, though.
And, here's your rec room complete with fireplace, mirrored ceiling, pool table and hot tub.
They were right, this house is not like the others.
There's also a laundry room down here. I hope that's not mold.
Utility room. Hmm.
Yard with a deck and 2 patios on a 5,227.2sqft lot.

When it was discovered that Zalim (ironically meaning, cruel) was in the company of two very young cubs, those at Ranthambore feared the worst: that, as an adult male, he would kill them. Instead, he surprised naturalists with his “motherly” behavior when he took in his twin daughters following the death of their mother.
At this time, science stated that tigers were only as social as mothers and cubs could go and that tiger fathers rarely interacted with their offspring. Zalim changed that when he was witnessed, month after month, caring for his daughters and teaching them how to hunt. Their relationship eventually ceased when the two girls were shifted to Sariska Tiger Reserve and Zalim went on to father another litter with the then-dominant tigress Sundari, the so-called Lady of the Lakes. When she too mysteriously disappeared, Zalim unsurprisingly took care of their cubs as well.

How haints work. They switch places with the soul of a man. But vampires is different. Maybe the worst kind. The soul gets stuck in the body. Can't rejoin the ancestors. Cursed to live here with all this hate. Can't even feel the warmth of a sunrise. SINNERS (2025) dir. Ryan Coogler Cinematography by Autumn Durald Arkapaw

a feel like the new generation of fanfic readers NEED to understand that clicking on a fic (interaction) does nothing. ao3 has no algorithm. your private discord discussions of fic do not reach the authors. if you do not actively engage with writers they will stop posting. this isn’t social media this is community.

THAT balcony scene from HIGH RISE starring Tom Hiddleston
I’m not quite sure why StudioCanal is posting High-Rise clips again, other than they’re distributing TLOC in the UK, and it’s also HR’s 10th anniversary this year, but I’ll take naked Laing (or filthy bearded Laing, or whichever Laing) anytime.
