Having listened to the new song a couple times, and now watched the video on the Psychos app, that I no longer pay for because it's not worth it anymore tbh, and it is Embarrassingly easy to access the premium content for free, I'm not impressed?

I'm very biased, still feeling very negative about certain band members acting like assholes during the AI drama (which I don't believe was just "in character"), and the fandom is a lot harder to tolerate now. But the song is just mid. It's fine, but as a lead single for a new album? Nah.

And the lore part of the video just leaves me feeling like they're leaning too far into the story, and not into the music. They literally say the song is "too poppy, too commercial" and refer to Pretty Evil and the Matthew Lillard/Macabre Spirits collab as "corny money grabs."

Like, congrats on being self-aware, but you're still doing it?? That's exactly how people are seeing you now, without the jokes attached.
