apparently there was this scandal saying that in this interview she was making rude faces and just being cold in general but i have no clue what they are saying. They just called her two faced. I think koreans are sometimes just too blunt, and after all she is an american. I would take offense to that too. I think she handled it well.

Why Kai is my bias; why I love him; why I will always be his fan

Never would I have ever imagined that one k-pop idol, one boy, could change my life so much. Today is this particular boy’s birthday, so I am going to take this opportunity to finally put into words why I stan and love Kim Jongin.

But, first, a little about Kai – because although sometimes Kim Jongin and Kai are one and the same, these two identities are more often than not separate (but connected).

Over one year ago, when EXO was preparing to debut, Kai was introduced to the world via his first teaser. My first impression of him (like almost everybody else’s, I’m sure) was: oh, he’s a good dancer– but nothing more than that. I’m not a dance expert, so Kai’s dancing didn’t seem all that special. There were plenty of excellent dancers in the k-pop industry, so what? It’s hard to imagine now, but after watching EXO’s first several teasers, I even lost interest in this Kai person.

Everyone has ambition, but I hope other people will know to use it well. We’re sweating hard after practice, only to suddenly find out that someone won’t be coming back. I got to a point in my life where what I needed became clear as day…suddenly I was uninterested in anything else. Weeding out people who drained me, letting go of the ones who were incapable of forgiveness, not allowing another ounce of energy to anyone who was unwilling to take chances and lacked humility…it was the most freeing damn feeling in the world. I let go; the life I thought I needed, the love I thought I had, and the people who I thought would be with me no matter what…and it was devastating to feel the depths of disappointment people were capable of, but liberating as hell to let it all go.
