Kai & Pixal Friendship Headcanons

I was gonna make this back when episode 82 came out (that was back in March, it’s been so long 0-0) BUT THE TIME HAS ARRIVED! I personally love Kai and Pixal’s relationship, so here are a few headcanons about them!

Frenemies.

No seriously. One minute they are high fiving, the other they are choking each other.

Zane protection squad? Zane protection squad.

“Hmm, your hair looks different, Zane-”

“WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY ABOUT HIM?”

“I WAS COMPLIMENTING HIM, GUYS CHILL!”

Both of them are very confident in their abilities - especially Kai - and there is a lot of bragging.

The ‘anything you can do I can do better’ song was created by them.

They offend each other on a regular basis and all but once a third person insults one of them, the other is killing them,

Kai always does something stupid and Pixal has to stop him.

“Kai, you’ll hurt yourself.”

“Kai, you’ll choke.”

“Pix, I thought your defense system only worked on yourself, not on me?”

“Kai, please choke.”

Although they argue a lot, they always get paired in missions.

That one time Pixal took control of Kai’s vehicle in season 3? Happens all the time.

The only thing they agree on is that pineapple does NOT belong on pizza. Cole mentioned how much he loved it once and both Kai and Pixal were SHOOK.

Jay: Kai, can you pass me the salt?

Kai: Sure

Kai: *throws Pixal across the table*

Pixal chased him wih the Samurai X suit afterwards

Speaking of the Samurai X suit, Kai is never forgiving Pixal for not telling him.

“The tradition is for me to find out who the Samurai X is!”

“It happened ONE time!”

That, and also Kai’s denial:

“Didn’t Nya do a fine job with the suit?”

“Pss, as if I’m jealous of the suit.”

“… Pixal, can I please try it on? ;-;”

A regular conversation of them would include:

“I bet I can drink this entire hot sauce bottle.”

“Okay.”

“I did it!”

“Okay.”

“… It means I won.”

“Okay.”

“Stop saying okay!”

“Okay.”

“AAAAAAAA-”

“Don’t get me involved in this.” -Zane Julien, everytime something goes wrong with Kai and Pixal.

He gets involved in it.

Pixal always reminds Kai of embarassing stuff he has done and he wants to die.

“Doesn’t this sound fantasting?”

“Kai, this word doesn’t exist.”

“Maybe YOU don’t exist!”

And last but not least

Kai: If PIXAL stands for Primary Interactive X-Ternal Assistant Life-form, what does KAI stand for?

Pixal, with no hesitation: Killing All Interest.

Do you like writing fanfiction or creating fanart?  If you’re looking for a great chance to show your appreciation for this awesome show, why not apply to be a part of our upcoming Ninjago zine?

What is a zine?

A zine is an event where artists and writers come together in a fandom to create works in honor of a show/movie/book/etc. In this case, we are creating a fan zine based off the animated series, Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu!

How does this work?

-This is a Ninjago themed zine that will be a FREE, PDF download upon its release. 

-We are looking for 20 participants— 15 artists and 5 writers (including the mods). However, if the zine gains popularity, this number will likely change.

-This is zine is Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu centric- meaning all the content will be will be based off the television series, and not the movie. As is the case, there will be no romantic ships outside of what is canon within the show (as we would like to keep this as discourse-free as possible). 

-Since Ninjago is a children’s series, the zine will be SFW (Rated PG). Meaning, nothing outside the show’s scope of content will be allowed.

Application Requirements

Both artists and writers must submit works that are SFW

Artists are to submit at least three of their best works showcasing their style. (For artists, works do not have to be Ninjago related)

Writers are to submit at least three of their best works showcasing their writing style and characterization 

At least one story submission must be Ninjago related

Projected Schedule (subject to change)

May 28th: Applications open 

June 24th: Applications close

June 28th: Acceptance/Rejection emails go out

July 1st: Participants list is released

Check-in 1: July 7th

Check-in 2: TBA

Headcanon that Jay knows French

I’ve had this headcanon for the longest time and it’s been driving me crazy.

And the others always try to copy him when he speaks in it. They fail.
