Saying trans men donât have male privilege is not saying they arenât free from misogynistic views.
Itâs not a purely male thing to be misogynistic guys.
Itâs not a male privilege to be misogynistic.
You can be a woman and be misogynistic.
Misogyny is not limited to men, itâs not a male only thing.
Trans men donât have male privilege â trans men canât be misogynistic!
These are two different statements.
My post saying you canât hold trans men and cis men in the same category IS NOT ABOUT FUCKING MISOGYNY.
Itâs about the fact that the one of the only ways a trans man could potentially ever have some semblance of the same male privilege a cis man has in this society is if they are white, post op and have been on T for years, have an M gender marker and do not reveal they are transgender to anyone but their partner(s).
Pre-T trans men, trans men who like to be open about their identity, pre-op trans men, trans men who like being feminine sometimes. None of them have the male privilege weâre talking about here but theyâre still all men.
There is a fundamental difference between cis and trans men/mascs in this society. You CANNOT hold them in the same category.
Nobody, not even a trans man, is free from being a misogynist.
But trying to claim that saying trans men/mascs donât have male privilege is saying they canât be misogynistic is wild.
Misogynistic views â male privilege
Because itâs not male privilege to get away with/not get away with saying misogynistic statements.
Cis men can be misogynistic
Cis women can be misogynistic
Trans men can be misogynistic
Trans women can be misogynistic
GNC people can be misogynistic
It is not a male privilege to spout misogyny.

i do love it when trans radfems go full mask-off about the TME/TMA horse shit. "Trans women always will have it worse in every vector of life this is why we need this language" ok so it's oppression olympics then, right? Because you believe trans women always have it worse no matter what? You've won the oppression olympics and need language to convey this to people not as oppressed as you? As well as that TMA means trans woman and TME means anyone who was AFAB, right? No pls keep telling me how much you suffer the most ever and that other trans people couldn't fathom what you go through and don't nearly have it as bad keep going

Non passing trans men don't benefit from misogyny whatsoever, besides possibly on the internet. If they are seen as a woman in someone's eyes, especially legally, they do not benefit from it. If you are not seen as a man by society, regardless of if you are or not, you do not benefit from misogyny.
It's that fuckin simple.

"If I see another transmasc with a "complicated relationship with womanhood and femininity" I'm gonna--"
NOT EVERYONE EXPERIENCES BEING TRANS THE SAME WAY YOU DO.
NOT EVERYONE SEES THEIR BIRTH GENDER OR SEX AS A PRISON LIKE YOU DO.
BEING TRANS ISN'T JUST SUFFERING, YOU CAN BE A TRANS PERSON WHO IS TRANS BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE THEIR IDENTITY ALIGNS NOT JUST BECAUSE YOU HATE YOUR BODY AND YOUR VOICE AND YOUR LIFE.
Just because you hate masculinity and refuse to have any nuance in your own personal gender identity doesn't mean that everyone has to be the same.
(This post is worded aggressively because it is targeting radfems, tirfs and all transandrophobes.)

The next person to quote a trans man specific post and drop the 'trans' is getting murdered.
'trans men can be victims of horrific levels of misogynistic violence in the trans community. In fact there are entire trafficking rings and systems dedicated to this exploitation of ftm bodies and labour'
'haha right men are the victims of misogyny in the queer community'
I will fucking kill you.

if you unironically use TMA/TME labels: blocked
if you refer to trans men as "birthday boys": blocked
if you say men and masculinity are inherently violent: mega blocked!!!

our new job launched its mandatory ai transcription program designed to streamline our workflow and not only does it melt down the moment it has to transcribe non-white customers but it keeps hallucinating the existence of a mysterious boy named dorian who shows up in every third call summary

a transmasc person going "i hated being a woman, i don't understand why anyone would want to be a woman, and anyone who actively chooses to be a woman is making the wrong choice" is obviously in the wrong right. so why do we keep letting people get away with saying the reverse. just because masculinity was a prison for you doesn't mean it isn't freedom for others

Letâs all light a candle and pour one out for all the trans men who never got to figure out theyâre men because they were raised to believe they couldnât ever be anything other than a wife and a mother and if they ever left the church that all their friends and family go to then theyâll burn in hell for all of eternity. May the names engraved on their tombstones fade to nothing and the dresses they were buried in disintegrate.

Fandom discourse itself is stupid because arguing over fictional characters, ships, and shipping labels is a waste of time. However, fandom discourse is causing very real and severe harm to people.
Adults and children are developing Moral Scrupulosity OCD, becoming extremely paranoid and anxious over whether they're "good" and constantly questioning their morality. In fandoms, people believe the fictional characters and ships they like reflect who they are and their moral alignment. They think enjoying something problematic means youâre an "evil" person. This has caused fans of problematic fiction to be labeled as "criminals" and harassed.
People are terrified of liking anything in fiction out of fear that it makes them a âhorribleâ person and being labeled as such by others. Persistent bullying has driven people to be doxxed and commit suicide. This moral superiority contest has ruined peopleâs lives because many are obsessed with proving their âgoodness.â
Fiction is meant to be a fun way to explore themes and topics, not a test of morality. Youâre never going to please everyone because thereâs always going to be some who believe youâre âimmoralâ for what you like. Enjoy whatever characters and ships you want because it doesnât dictate what kind of person you are.

Possible Viv testimony from a con worker, see disclaimers below
"As someone who has worked for a company that organizes cons and worked a few, I can give some insight on how it works, and a few experiences when Viv was a guest at some of our cons some of this told by my co-workers and higher ups. I can't speak for other organizers but, the one I work for, we ether invite people or we get people contacting us saying they want to be here. Which over the years, we get more people asking to attend than us having to reach out, we mostly reach out to guests of previous years now if they were a big enough hit.
From there we pick and choose based off popularity and what will drive the most people to the cons. Believe it or not, SpindleHorse reached out to us exclaiming how popular their shows are all that they want a panel. Pretty sure it was Morgana who reached out. When we look at shows or what is told to us, people reviewing don't always watch the whole thing through sometimes we will, if it's popular enough, you're in.
Usually if we notice it's adult we will ask the guest if we should make the panel 18+ only and we do vet. Like for example, hulu came to us wanting to do a Paloni Show panel before we looked into it, this was before it even aired hulu specifically told us it's 18+ they would prefer anyone under the age of 18 to stay out. 18+ panels are not only usually scheduled for the end of the day, like a late day usually 4-8pm (sometimes they aren't) depending on how crude or adult the show is. The more nsfw the show is the later your time slot. To prevent kids from attending or most likely won't. We usually list they're 18+ on the guide prior, mostly if we notice what the show is or if we're told to. Sometimes this does slip through the cracks. Usually on accident. Hulu was a rare one where they got a 2pm panel slot but, we had someone at the door checking wristbands. So it was good. Now, they work one of two ways depending on the con (ones I work at.)
Way one, if you're interested in a seeing a panel that is 18+ or mature, the only way to get in is you are given a wristband for it. The only way to get the wristband is you go to the front of the con in information tell them what you plan on seeing, we ask for your ID, then you get a wristband. Anyone without the wristband is not allowed in the panel. Sometimes even before you get on the line to wait for the panel to open they make sure you have a wristband.
Way two, we have someone checking at the door for an ID usually warned in advanced to have an ID out. It's not too effective as we don't scan the IDs people just flash it at us we can't look one by one, but usually it does keep anyone under 18 for the most part out. No kids 11 and under get in for sure.
The first time Viv was at one of our cons, it was a helluva panel, scheduled for 5:30 pm time slot. Viv complained insisting on a 1pm it was more convenient for her team. Someone allowed it, because Viv's team informed us, that while it's an adult show, the panels don't get graphic or they keep it PG or sometimes PG13 which is 'rare.' This is a lie. They played a clip of an upcoming episode right off the bat Blitzo makes a sex joke and there's a lot of language. It raised concerns after some teenagers attended the panel, got a few complaints from parents that took their teens.
Second Con of ours a different one, that approved Viv to be there enforced a later time slot no exceptions, we ask Morgana or whoever it was speaking for Viv if we should make the panel 18+ only considering the last one. They insist that it's not needed, explain what they plan on doing for it, what they'll discuss, and showed us the clip of the episode they planned on playing ahead of time. This clip was tame, it sounded like a PG-13 panel. Panel happens, they switch the clip on us last minute, Brandon takes a question too far, etc. Other cons with us we make Helluva panels later some we're able to get away enforcing 18+ some aren't due to complaints from Viv&co.
2024 hazbin comes out, they want both a Helluva and a Hazbin panel, they have not had a Hazbin panel with us, but this is around the time that one 9 year old asked a question at Galaxy Con, to protect us, we make both wristband only."
There you have it. As always, draw your own conclusions and take this with a hefty grain of salt.

i need pepple to understand that in the first place leather has always been made from the byproducts of butchering animals for meat, otherwise the skin is just tossed and unused. there were some companies farming for leather for a while, particuarly alligator leather, but those were not the norm. peta did so much harm in their campaigns against leather as a concept (its not unethical. yoi get the skin when an animal dies. thats why most leather clothes in the usa are cow leather, bc thats the biggest meat animal here) that its almost impossible to buy anything "leather" that isnt made of plastic that it so fragile and shitty that the very Thread Holding It Together rips the fibers apart. it will last for maybe a year two if youre lucky, and wont biodegrade and was made out of something that isnt naturally occurring in the first place and is one of the biggest causes of pollution globally

Some of you havenât fully unpacked the Gender Traitor view of trans men and transmascs and it shows.
You may not be calling us gender traitors outright but then you act as if weâre uniquely more likely to be misogynistic (including transmisogynistic or lesbophobic) than cis men. You imply that by transitioning weâve escaped misogyny, as if that were the point in the first place. Youâre quick to prescribe things like male entitlement to us with zero attempt to understand what might lead us to the decisions we make. You pull us aside to lecture us about how we have to watch ourselves to make sure weâre not misogynistic and how we as men have to use our male privilege to protect women (hey, why do you think the women need the men to protect them like that? Itâs a bit patriarchal imo), all while never giving cis men the same spiel.
And then weâre stuck dancing around your assumption that we hate women because weâre trans men! We canât just say weâre not women without going off about how womanhood is great even if itâs not for us, even though itâs perfectly reasonable to imagine we might have a lot of negative feelings about having been forced to live as girls and women when we arenât women, even though the type of person who expects this out of, say, people who were raised Christian but arenât as adults is generally someone most of us can agree is an unreasonable douche looking to convert the person back. And when anything about us makes women uncomfortable, regardless of whether itâs reasonable, weâre the ones who are supposed to accommodate you at our own expense. Trans men get forced into a separate waiting room at the gynecologistâs office because cis women âfeel unsafeâ about there being a man in the room. We ask to have our voices heard in the conversation surrounding abortion access and reproductive rights and weâre scolded for âmaking a womenâs rights issue about menâ. We find historical figures who show every single sign of fitting the description of trans men and cis women crawl out of the woodwork to yell at us for âerasing women from history.â
And with all this in mind, all I can think is that you just see us transitioning as a betrayal towards women. We turned our backs on the Sisterhood or whatever and now weâre the enemy. But as a trans man myself, all Iâve wanted was to just exist in peace as a man. I donât see any gender as being some opposing force. Itâs like hair color to me, just something different about everyone. Itâs not my fault I was assigned the wrong gender at birth. Itâs not my fault I was born with primary and secondary sex characteristics that give me gender dysphoria. Itâs especially not my fault that for thousands of years women and those forcibly assigned as women were regarded as property and treated as such. And yet, somehow, it seems that Iâm expected to apologize several times daily for all of this purely because Iâm a trans man.
Itâs so fucking infuriating. Just let me live, damnit.
