what is forgiveness?
it is the fragrance that the flowers give when they are crushed.

When adults say, "Teenagers think they are invincible" with that sly, stupid smile on their faces, they don't know how right they are. We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken. We think that we are invincible because we are. We cannot be born, and we cannot die. Like all energy, we can only change shapes and sizes and manifestations. They forget that when they get old. They get scared of losing and failing. But that part of us greater than the sum of our parts cannot begin and cannot end, and so it cannot fail

I find decay revolting. Young and naive, the concept of death and the rot that accompanies it is something terrifying- so I choose to ignore it. Instead, I picture death as a sterile process, free from decay: bodies sleeping in perfect preservation for eternity. It’s a disingenuous reality I am content to believe in, for a while.

many people are either our age or are let's say in the same timeline, are let's say doing better than us. No matter how hard we try, how hard we plan, we always are going to be less better than them. The question lies in which part of the spectrum of "I am going to be better than this imaginary thought of mine" or " put in the actual work" we are going to believe in. I don't think it's either of them.
If we go with the first thought we know we slack off, knowing the fact that we can never be perfect, we can never get it right.
If we go with the second thought we know due to us being humans, we will never be satisfied with what we have done or achieved.
What I believe is in and I think many others we have being stuck in this situation of their lives.
"enjoy the process"
Don't regret what you've done or will do. Enjoy what you are doing, enjoy the mistakes, enjoy the finished product. Love your work and yourself. Everyone always says " life is short" and you have heard it a million times but it's really true. Life indeed is short. So go make that mistake.

some things undone, many feelings unsaid till when?
until I become strong enough and confident enough.
when are you strong and confident enough?
I don't know, nobody does.
but that truth does not allow you to stay back and wait does it?
what's the rush in life? I'll pick up myself piece by piece until I'm whole again.
As a human being you know, you'll never be satisfied with whatever you have done.
I know, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying life does it?
maybe you are right. I should first learn to take care of myself more than I do of someone else.
maybe I could be wrong. But we won't know unless we enjoy the risk.

“Is it possible, in the final analysis, for one human being to achieve perfect understanding of another? We can invest enormous time and energy in serious efforts to know another person, but in the end, how close can we come to that person's essence? We convince ourselves that we know the other person well, but do we really know anything important about anyone?”
― Haruki Murakami, quote from The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle

So I know she forgives me, just as I forgive her. Thomas Edison’s last words were: “It’s very beautiful over there.” I don’t know where there is, but I believe it’s somewhere, and I hope it’s beautiful.

revisiting the old dusty museum of memories I find blurry paintings and artifacts. All through my childhood I believed I built a perfect place full of memories, but now find the foundation of the building to be weak and feeble. It feels like everything was rushed, the paint brush swiped too fast on the canvas, the colors mixed with no adequate movement, made the entire painting distorted. The architecture mixed with places I have visited, but the pieces overlap each other. As I walk through the halls of the museum, I find little to no light, with some places having a dim candle around them. The artifacts stare at the sky with no soul, signifying the times I looked at the sky just for the name of it. But as I revisit these places of my mind, I wish to paint them brighter and clear, remove the candles and place an ever burning torch, replace the artifacts with flowers and greenery, paint each stroke with a clearer meaning attached to the memory. I'll rebuild this museum with a few paintings or flowers but filled with tons of memories. At least you know make this place a better place to be at.

"Closing your eyes isn't going to change anything. Nothing's going to disappear just because you can't see what's going on. In fact, things will even be worse the next time you open your eyes. That's the kind of world we live in. Keep your eyes wide open. Only a coward closes his eyes. Closing your eyes and plugging up your ears won't make time stand still."
From Kafka On The Shore, Haruki Murakami

" There’s a Japanese phrase that I like: koi no yokan. It doesn’t mean love at first sight. It’s closer to love at second sight. It’s the feeling when you meet someone that you’re going to fall in love with them. Maybe you don’t love them right away, but it’s inevitable that you will. "
