The battle was over.

Their bodies still ached, their minds not yet quiet.

Henry stayed close, making sure Sir Hans was well.

“You could’ve died today,” Hans finally whispered.

“I wasn’t ready to lose you.”

“You won’t,” Henry replied softly. “I’m not going anywhere, my Lord.”

He offered him a soft smile and wished him good night, ready to give him space—to let him rest.

But Hans reached out, hand shaking slightly.

“Don’t go.”

His voice barely more than a breath.

And that’s when it happened.

No words. Just lips.

And one stunned breath later, Henry kissed him back with all the strength the sword had left him.

In that kiss, there was no doubt.

Only relief. Only want. Only the two of them.

I saw that horse dance on Luke's stream, and I had to do this. Mind you, the last time I drew horses in motion was when I had a childhood hyperfixation on that cartoon about a horse called Spirit. It was ages ago. But I tried my best. It's just a sketch, but maybe I'll do smth. about it later.
