As we all know, DIO is a very proud man. He believes, as well as his followers obviously, that him simply existing is an amazing feat in of itself. To serve someone like that, or interact even, you should be able to be on an existing level of confidence to understand where he, DIO, is coming from. So when DIO figures out that his S/O is unsure of themself, he dismisses the idea. ‘There is no reason for you to feel this way because I, DIO, picked you myself.
