I just want to put in a good word for the #holidayinnexpresscleveland downtown. I don’t do a TON of research into things before we book or buy bc I’m impulsive, but let me tell you... this place exceeds the online reviews. People complained about the rooms, the fact that it’s valet parking, said the staff was unfriendly... this hotel was great. The room was beautiful, the bathroom was adequate and completely clean (I didn’t opt for the soaker jetted tub room just the regular one since it was just night). You’re downtown so not every place is going to have its own garage, $30 for the super nice competent valets to park and bring us our car was more than fair. We didn’t wait long for the car (although when you’re needing it or checking out call ahead so they can have it ready for you you’re in a hurry, we weren’t and rarely are). The staff was amazing. Kind, funny, informative, always ready to help. Made sure we had everything we needed at all times and even made sure if we needed directions to leave we had them. Express check out too. Couldn’t have been easier. Continental breakfast exceeded my expectations, within walking distance to so many things downtown. This will be our go to hotel when we go to baseball games or just to hang out in #Cleveland. Thanks, @holidayinnexpress!!! (at Holiday Inn Express Cleveland Downtown)

Quelling The Winter SAD. As mentioned in my previous post. Feeling the onset of seasonal affective disorder? Ye Olden Regular Style Depression™️ getting you down? Want a low key hang out at the city’s best coffee shop to talk and draw? I am going to be at Black Forge Coffee House with a bunch of sketchbooks and drawing implements to hang out and hopefully enjoy some company. I’d like to see this become a regular hang out biweekly for people who find themselves lost, lonely, or closed off during the colder months. No pressure to make art. No pressure to talk a lot.
