Thinking about the time we had to make a presentation for class when I was 15

I was already a kid that got bullied heavily, but I decided I wanted to present in front of everyone anyway. My presentation was on Adopting Black Cats, full of facts and stats.. the teacher had to stop my presentation because of the reaction of the other kids. Laughing and insulting me.

My teacher was kind enough to let me try again, without the class present. I made a whole new presentation on Places To Visit In Germany and Why (I have never been to Germany. I am from the UK, I would love to visit though). I got pretty good marks and I got told I was really brave for trying the first time despite having the issues with bullying I did.

I was undiagnosed autistic back then, masking heavily, wanting to fit in or at the very least to just exist in peace. I never got that chance in school. Despite everything, I made it through. I made it through college too, but it was hard. I even had my parents tell me after I finished school they were surprised I didn't drop out.

All I had was hope. I didn't know why people didn't like me or just found me weird. I didn't (and still don't really) know how to function socially or work how I'm expected to. I've struggled with depression and anxiety because of my experiences then (among other things), some days I struggle to function, sometimes I get so overwhelmed and in my head I cry and cry. Yet I keep going anyway. You can too

Weird post to be inspirational on, but I'm doing it anyway. Keep going, you can do it. No matter how much crap gets thrown at you, you can push through. Keep hoping. One day it does get better, I promise.
