The beginning of a new novel

So a year and half back I finally decided I would stop wishing I was a creative writer and began putting all of ideas down on paper. It is something I was instantly grateful to myself for putting into action as I enjoyed it even more than I expected. As a stationary addict I have a cupboard in the living room which is absolutely rammed with note books. They always sat there looking pretty and new. Now most of them sit piled up on my make shift desk full of random notes, big ideas and diary entries (for motivation). My problem has been that I have changed my mind on which story I want to write about fifteen times. Now, after forcing myself to choose the right idea, I have started my first of many drafts and four chapters in, I am really pleased with myself. It is hard work (believe it or not) and I often have to force myself to sit at my table and write. But I am a Mother not only to a three year old girl but two cats and a grown man! (Men are harder work than children. Something I only recently discovered in my new relationship!) But as I write this, they all sleep peacefully and the flat is completely silent. Well aside from the birds chirping and the soft snores of my toddler. It is peaceful. In a year I hope to look back at this first Tumblr post and smile. I hope my first of hopefully several books will have been published and that I remain happy in my relationship while enjoying being a Mom. NjVaughan -x-
