This is Hajj Isma'il al-Za'im Abu al-Siba'. He is over 80 years old and has been serving Iftar and Tea in Madinah for close to 30 years. He said "I do this with the intention that Rasulullah ﷺ will give me the water of al-Kawthar on the Day of Judgement."

The scholars of Syria would often sit with him and seek his du'as. He is a man known for his intense love for our Prophet Muhammadur Rasulullah ﷺ. What a beautiful face and what a beautiful life.

حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْعَلاَءِ، قَالَتْ عَادَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَنَا مَرِيضَةٌ فَقَالَ ‏

‏ أَبْشِرِي يَا أُمَّ الْعَلاَءِ فَإِنَّ مَرَضَ الْمُسْلِمِ يُذْهِبُ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَطَايَاهُ كَمَا تُذْهِبُ النَّارُ خَبَثَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ ‏"

Narrated Umm al-Ala:

The Messenger of ALLAH (ﷺ) visited me while I was sick. He said: Be glad, Umm al-Ala' for ALLAH removes the sins of a Muslim for his illness as fire removes the dross of gold and silver.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَ��ْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ الأَنْصَارِيَّ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ ‏ إِذَا أَنْفَقَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ وَهُوَ يَحْتَسِبُهَا كَانَتْ لَهُ صَدَقَةً ‏" It was narrated from Abu Mas'ud that Rasulullah (ﷺ) said: "When a man spends his time with his family and seek reward for that (to ALLAH),that is an act of Sadaqa (charity) on his part."
