ive been thinking about the thousand year old loli trope lately and how the undeveloped brain would go with the wisdom. cause shell never age meaning her brain will never fully develop meaning she cant use her wisdom properly cause things like planning and decision making are some of the last areas to develop. she would have all those experiences and memories but she cant make the connections to take advantage of them. she would never be able to experience adulthood and the freedom that comes with it. she would always rely on others to make decisions for her as the ones she makes on her own are to her detriment. she would never learn from her mistakes. she would never develop problem-solving skills. she would never grow.
#ofc the younger she is the worse time shell be having#the biggest benefit of immortality is that you can infinetly grow and live new things#you dont have a timer you dont have to fear death#but in a sense shes already dead#cause unlike adults who can form new pathways and develop their brain skills#shes stuck in the inbetween#she Knows things but she cant make the necessary pathways to use them herself#and ofc she would be stuck at whatever emotional maturity shes at with teen being the worse#the thousand year old loli makes me sad if anything#cause its the one time you cant use your immortality properly and it feels more like a curse#idk if ive ever seen it explored like that anywhere#but id like to#i have an oc who died and is stuck at 13 forever making her the youngest of her group#so ive been thinking how shed feel about it

if galar came out during the 3ds era it would be peak even without the 3d models but alas it was the first mainline game on the switch AND costed 60 euros making it unplayable
#pokemon#galar on its own isnt the worst thing ever but it sure as hell isnt the best#even shiny hunting in this game is unfun#you have to ko the same pokemon 500 times for a chance of one of them to spawn with an aura#and the aura pokemon has the higher shiny chance#bizarre and awful#i like that i can somehow track how many ive seen (killed/catched) in game but the aura restriction sucks#im not excited to hunt in this game even though its the only one with shiny charm#alola with sos and kalos with hoards were so much better
