The Saragossa Manuscript (1965) was directed by Wojcech Has, who was born in Krakow, Poland and had 27 director credits from a 1947 documentary short, his first feature in 1958, to 1988.  This is  Wojcech’s only entry on the TSPDT list of the 1,000 Greatest Films.
