In cases like these, Batman has to be far more cautious how he treads. This isn't some typical robbery or cartel exchange where the dark knight can take action the moment he arrives on scene, there's lives at risk from the threatening party and it's best to Freeze talking until he either sees an opening or convinces him to step down. The vigilante hopes for the latter, seeing who he's facing now. He knows what's happened to the man, how he'd been working in cryopreservation and how it had backfired, had seen firsthand what happened to Clarke when the other first began to seek his revenge. This isn't justice, though. It won't set anything right, and he has to convince Victor to see that.
"Charlie Delaney, one of your former business partners." His tone takes that of a calm approach, careful to keep to simple statements for now until he can attain just how far emotions are playing into this. Is Freeze already ready to pull the trigger or is there an opening to be talked down? "I understand why you're upset, Victor. You're targeting the people who wronged you, who allowed your wife to be lost. But this won't change anything, and it won't make that pain go away."
