Dear, Anipoke writers, plz don't kill off Orla... 🙏
Horizons keeps making me cry 😅 This episode was heartbreaking- great development for Orla. I think she really loved Friede, either as her best friend or a romantic interest. I say either because it's still ambiguous, but she misses him terribly regardless.
It makes sense how much Orla has been affected by Friede and Charizard's loss when she had known them the longest out of all the rvts. To add insult to injury, her and Karna have been unknowingly designing the rakurium spheres. I wonder who the Explorers will turn to now that Karna has refused them.
Similar to Liko, Orla has regressed in the past year, being reluctant to go on adventures again. She has also been struggling to cope and bottling her emotions. Her explosion in front of the kids was a result of all her pent up feelings about Friede. Despite this, it was sweet to see her being honest with her Elekid, without her mask on. Hopefully she'll be able to open up to other people as time goes on.
Liko, Roy and Dot were a bit rash by straight up asking Orla to build them another ship. Uruto was egging them on, but they could have at least checked how Orla was first. I guess they're at an age where they might not be mature enough to understand how Orla is feeling. Anyhow, I thought Dot was the most understanding, admitting that they can't force her. It makes sense how she's the most empathetic, when her uncle Murdock was close to Friede as well.
On a side note, Orla seemed poorly towards the second half of the episode, when Metagross came out to steady her. Idk if this was to show how the stress was affecting her, or if it's foreshadowing something else. Rystal became ill after Lucius' 'demise', so I really hope this isn't the case.
Anyway, I thought this was a solid episode. I had to review it because I've been looking forward to Orla's return. Episode 100 next week ✨️

I was thinking how after the timeskip, Orla's outfit has changed from bold colours to plain grey. This symbolises how the joy that Friede and the rvts brought into her life has been taken from her.

Since this week will be the episode where we’ll meet up with Mollie, I’ve been thinking about what Orla could be up to during the time skip (because I’ve been thinking of her specifically).
Seeing that she was also a direct witness to the Fall, I feel like she’d be especially affected emotionally. Not to say that the kids or Cap haven’t gone through their own emotional turmoil but she was the one that knew Friede the longest. He was her childhood friend, and the one he went to when he wanted to fulfill an impossible dream. She had likely seen through his highs and lows, shared joys and woes together.
Assuming that with the RVT’s disbandment, the Brave Olivine likely stayed under her care, if only because she’d be the only person capable of performing extensive repairs after the strain of escaping Kumuri Mountain. With Spinel’s manipulation of public sentiment towards the RVT, the Brave Olivine likely won’t be able to dock in public areas like Levincia’s docks.
Seeing that the RVT’s reputation is smeared to the point of students of Indigo Academy in Kanto are aware of it, the Brave Olivine wouldn’t feasibly be safe to dock in ports of other regions too. Therefore, where would be a safe spot for a recognizable ship to dock at while repairs were being done?
My guess is that Orla would go to Karna. Seeing how they bonded back in HZ029 and the fact that Karna gave her that special Pokeball as a keepsake, she’d be a trusted friend to take shelter with during the storm of bad publicity. Karna’s Pokeball Factory was a large facility located within the woods, so it would be feasible spot to hide the Brave Olivine while it went through repairs. Orla wouldn’t be alone in fixing it with Karna helping along, and Karna would have Orla’s expertise in running her Pokeball Factory. A win-win situation all around, minus the whole slandering of the RVT by Spinel.
(Also, I like to picture that, whenever Liko and Roy went to her and get the RVT back together, Orla could gift Karna a Pokeball in turn as a nice callback. Her way of thanking Karna for giving her a safe space before the Brave Olivine flies off into the sky once more).
