5x23 -  “An Untold Story”: Filming + Theories

As we saw in this entry, the previous shooting ended with the reunion of Rumple, Regina, Emma, Henry, Violet, Zelena, Hook, David, Snow and “Nathaniel” in New York. So here you have the continuation.

-We can see the main characters returning to Storybrooke in two cars:

1. Gold’s car:

Passengers: David (at the wheel), Snow, Zelena, “Nathaniel” and Hook.

We don’t know the reason why Rumple didn’t appear in any scene and gave them his car. There are several possibilities for this:

He didn’t fit in any car (given the presence of “Nathaniel”). Therefore, he could return in other transportation later.

He doesn’t want to return to Storybrooke because he is no longer interested in power and magic, after the bad experience that he has lived in the UW.

He prefers to stay with Belle (in the hypothetical case that she is in NY) so she can give birth to their child in the World Without Magic. We still haven’t seen any being begotten by a Dark One and we don’t know yet the nature of the baby.

He has some important work to do in NY.

2. Emma’s car:

Passengers: Emma (driving), Regina, Henry and Violet.

-After getting out of  the car, Henry and Violet talk and share a (first?) goodbye kiss under the astonished gaze of his mothers.

-Henry stays with Regina while Emma goes to Granny’s with the gang that were in Gold’s car (which we will analyze in more detail below).

-Suddenly we see “Jacob,” which has scars on his face, looks serious and, like his brother, he wears a period suit. The theory that they are Jeckyll and Hide is becoming stronger. We wonder how he arrived in Storybrooke.

-“Jacob” passes by the street in front of Regina and Henry and she asks him who the hell he is (x). They start to talk and Regina ends up giving him her car keys.

-They both cross the road towards her vehicle. They talk again and Regina grabs him by the arms. She might be distracting him so he doesn’t see his brother. Considering the worry look on her face, it would be interesting that “Jacob” were telling her that he has Robin captive. Finally he leaves driving.

-Regina and Henry stand looking a piece of paper or something similar. Maybe Regina took “Jacob’s” hands in order to subtract it. Henry leaves the mysterious object on the floor and Regina makes some kind of magic, possibly tracking magic.

-David, Snow, Zelena, “Nathaniel”, Emma and Hook stroll towards Granny’s.

Emma and Hook stay back and chat. Apparently Emma says something that makes Hook happy (x) and he responds with a passionate kiss (x).

Once Upon a Time reveals season 5B's fiery villain

EW can exclusively reveal what many have speculated: Ally McBeal alum Greg Germann will indeed be playing Hades, the devilish dictator of the Underworld.

“We’re going to be meeting the Once Upon a Timeversion of Hades in the second half of the season,” executive producer Adam Horowitz tells EW. “While he is both inspired by a myth and by the Disney movie version, as we like to do, we’re trying to create our own Once Upon a Time spin. We can’t wait for everyone to see what [Germann] does with the character.”

Germann is slated to make his debut “right away” in the midseason premiere, which also marks the ABC fairy tale drama’s landmark 100th episode, in which Emma, her friends and family try to rescue Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) from the Underworld. “He absolutely has a surprising connection to one of our cast,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says, though Horowitz is quick to add: “Before everyone runs to Twitter to give their opinions on it, he’s not related to anyone, but there is a connection.”
