garrett's eyes held a glimmer of intrigue as he leaned back slightly, still fixated on kate. "indeed, you're right. i've had my fair share of encounters...though i can assure you, there's something....enticing about you," he said, his tone smooth and confident as he spoke honestly.
he nodded in response to her question. "yes, you assume correctly. i'm a recent arrival in this charming little town. it almost seems fate has brought us together, doesn't it?" the man paused as he took a sip of his drink, eyes still trained on the beauty in front of him. "and what does your family think of this place?"
there was something about the stranger that brought a sense of familiarity and safety, a sense of comfort she couldn't quite find in any male companion. the moment she laid her eyes on him, kate could feel the electricity pass through her like a current during a thunder storm. it left her temporarily breathless. " well thank you, i can appreciate an honest men when i see one. but i doubt i am the only woman whom you have charmed with these words. " while kate felt the instant connection, that didn't mean she would allow any man to simply sweep her off her feet with sweet words and kind flattery. she truly liked it when a man groveled and put in the effort. " i am not, not yet anyway. my family and i are exploring our options for our new home. may i assume you are new here as well ??"

garrett chuckled softly, his eyes glinting with amusement as he considered esme's question. he tilted his head slightly, studying her for a moment before nodding in agreement. "sure, why not?" he replied, a playful glint in his eyes. "i'm open to trying new things. surprise me. what's your go-to super girly drink?" he gestured for the bartender's attention, ready to go along with esme's choice, curious to see what she had in mind.
she smiled at the other and cleared her throat "speaking of him, we are currently going through a separation." esme looked at the bar then at him with a small smile on her face, she looked at his glass and then back at him "so if i ordered a super girly drink, you would as well" she said with a small chuckle.

garrett's lips curled into a slightly wider smile as the blonde accepted his invitation, looking over at her with evident interest. "cassie...it's a pleasure. garrett." he added, extending his hand in a formal introduction, despite his relaxed tone. he was a gentleman first and foremost after all. "and what brings you here tonight exactly?"
Cassie had been nursing her drink at the bar, observing the patrons and feeling somewhat out of place in this unfamiliar town. The arrival of Garrett caught her attention, and she couldn't help but notice the air of mystery that seemed to surround him. His invitation was intriguing, and she considered it for a moment before offering a warm smile in return. "Well, a lonely night isn't much fun," Cassie replied, her voice carrying a touch of curiosity. "I could use some company myself. Thanks for the offer." She gracefully moved to the vacant chair and took a seat, her eyes meeting Garrett's as she added, "I'm Cassie, by the way."

garrett's smile deepened as the woman accepted his invitation, and he gestured towards the empty chair beside him, inviting her to sit. "it's my pleasure," he replied, his voice smooth and charming. "after all, a lonely night can quickly turn into a memorable one with the right company," he added, his lips curling into a more playful half-smile.
elena walked into the establishment, she was starving. after a long day of working, she was in serious need of something to eat and even more so, something to drink. the place was full, body to body with people and she found herself looking around, brown orbs scanning the room for an empty chair. when the man spoke up she moved to sit, a kind smile pulling her lips upward. ❝ thank you, i appreciate it. i probably would have been waiting at least an hour for seating otherwise. and you're right, company is always preferable. ❞

recognition filled his features as he smiled to the woman, his fingers lightly tapping the rim of his glass as she seated herself beside him. "i was just going to have a few more drinks before i came to greet you and carlisle." he paused at her question, looking down at the glass before shrugging lightly. "if you're here, whatever the lady wants. this isn't the best bourbon i've had, so i'll trust your judgement."
Esme was in desperate need for a drink, she was moved to this new place and was going through a separation. She cleared her throat as she saw the male and a smile smile form on her face "hey stranger" she responded and then sat beside him "what we drinking?" Esme was happy that she could at least have this friend to confide in and turn to when needed.

garrett maintained his half-smile, his eyes gleaming with a captivating intensity as he responded to bella's inquiry. "new to this particular town, yes," he admitted, keeping his tone low and enticing. "but i've wandered through many places in my time, so i'm quite accustomed to being the newcomer. it adds a certain thrill to life, don't you think?" he leaned back slightly in his chair, a warm smile on his lips.
"as for what constitutes good company," garrett continued, his gaze not leaving hers. "that's simply a matter of perspective. sometimes, the most unexpected connections can turn out to be the most intriguing ones."
having been sent out only to pick up dinner for herself and her father, bella was expecting minimal social interaction when she arrived. after quickly placing their order, bella surveyed the surrounding area and noticed there weren't many other patrons inside. coincidentally sitting not too far from the register, however, was a man sitting alone, and when she looked over at him and met his gaze, he invited her to have a seat. considering she was just told it would take longer than expected to prepare their food, bella figured there was no harm in temporarily sitting down, though she was hesitant when she did so. "i'm probably not what you would consider good company," she confessed with a gentle shrug, "but i have twenty minutes to kill. are you new here too?" she asked out of genuine curiosity.

garrett's eyes gleamed with intrigue as the newcomer took the vacant seat beside him, unable to ignore the almost electric energy in the air. with a charming grin that revealed his glistening fangs just slightly, he leaned in closer, his voice a velvet whisper.
"well, it's not every day i encounter such an enchanting woman as yourself." he could not help but study her with a hint of curiosity in his gaze, his eyes locked onto hers. "are you a local in this...little town?"
while the nomadic life had been a part of her for centuries, it had been even more exciting to settle down and enjoy the slow life. with great grievance their family had to leave denali, the humans were getting too suspicious and while they could glamour their problems away, they never quite did. they had chosen to walk among the humans as if they were the same and therefore would allow them as much of a free will as needed be. beacons hills didn't seem so bad just yet, in fact a new town meant new people to meet and enjoy. it became even more pleasant when meeting a certain doe eyed man who captivated her the moment she laid her eyes on him. " i was wondering the same thing. it seemed you have beat me to it. i would love to join. " she uttered tantalizing whilst taking the seat next to him.

garrett was accustomed to being a newcomer to town...though usually he was the only one. it seemed a tragedy had moved mystic falls residents to town, and the vampire couldn't help but be curious over what exactly would call such a thing. with an inviting half-smile, garrett extended his hand towards the vacant chair, his voice carrying a tantalizing hint of danger as he said, "care to join me? it's a lonely night, and good company is hard to come by." his words held an irresistible allure, head tilting to the side with obvious interest.

garrett, born in the midst of the mid-1700s american revolution in the heart of new england, embodied the spirit of a hotheaded patriot. his unwavering belief in the colonies' right to self-govern ignited a fire within him to fight fervently for their cause, epitomizing the american dream.
his life took a fateful turn in the 1780s during the throes of the war. amidst the staggering death toll, local vampires seized the opportunity to quench their thirst for blood, and garrett unwittingly became a part of their dark world. in the aftermath of a brutal battle, an isolated group of ten soldiers, including garrett, fell prey to a vampire's vicious attack. knocked unconscious at the outset, garrett miraculously survived as the vampire drained the life from his comrades and, believing him dead, departed.
days later, garrett awoke as a fully-fledged vampire, forever changed. his insatiable curiosity and relentless pursuit of the truth guided him on a quest to understand his transformation.
in time, he crossed paths with carlisle cullen, forging a deep friendship despite their differing dietary choices. along his journey, he also encountered makenna and charles, a nomadic couple whose bond with garrett solidified during the siege of yorktown. garrett has continued to travel across america alone, deciding to visit his friend carlisle in beacon hills.
