Day 6 on the hills again a nice little 8 miles.. Had to stop at one point to just take in the quiet. Next to the resevoir, the sun on my face and the birds chirping as they flew overhead. Absolute bliss. After working up a sweat that is (was knackered, so welcomed a stop too) Replen with a bite to eat at one of my favorite spots up there. Brie with Hickory, Smoked Bacon and chilli jam on seaded wholemeal bread. Plus as always a damn decent coffee. Am I domesticated or what???? Taking full advantage of the weather before I'm back to the grind on Monday... Todays Zen, sat just under Standege trig point. A coffee in hand just chilling for half an hour listening to the sounds of silence (not the song, actual silence). Then the dirty Lancashire weather came at me. Dark clouds and freezing cold winds. So got my ass in gear and carried on. Hahahaha. What a glorious afternoon. Feeling a lot better each day. Aftercthe dreaded C word (covid) The sun does help to elevate you aswell. A little recce on some woodland for future stealth wild camp/ hammock nights.. Went and sat in Odins Throne (found out todays it's actually called Schofields Barn)... Looped up to Black Moss resevoir from Butterly resevoir via Blake Clough waterfall. Then up to Brunclough resevoir for a little sunset mood to end the day. Although on the way up the Brunclough, I was passed at some speed by an elderly chap in Hi vis running over jacket. Blue Ronhill running leggings and a pair of silver shadow trainers. Went at the hills again today. Was knackered at this point. Had a few issues with the old noggin, but I soon put that black dog down. The vid says most of it but as you can see. Replen with Black coffee and Choccy Hobnobsfor the big W. Sat and pondered for over an 2 hours up there today. Before I went swamp diving back to the top of the Resevoirs. 3 hours and 37 minutes to do 2/3rd of a route that used to take me less than 1 hour and 45 mins. (But saying that my first attempt at shopping this morning, kicked the crap out of me with a mask on. Not really being able to breath properly still) But I was angry 60% of the route so felt like I was yomping back with he squad. But obviously not as fast as it felt. Hahaha Angry cos of all the fkn idiot un educated walkers in fkn trackies and trainers pissing and moaning about the rain and the mud. You are the fkn reason a mountain rescue member is laid up in hospital with severe injuries. You bunch of fkn melt cock wombles. At one point as I sat atop cardiac hill trying to catch my breath, on Pennine way. I counted 37 fkn people, all on the same stretch of gravelled easy as hell path way. Thank you covid for taking my energy to do the only thing I have any passion left for 2 and half hours to do 4.2 miles. With less then 15lbs on my back I'm walking at the docs advice to get my lungs expanding properly again. Gone from doing 10.5 miles in under 3 hours with 45lbs on my back.. To walking like a fkn 25 stone mess. How the hell am I meant to carry out my duties as a hiking team leader if I cant even get a proper hike going on my own?? Feeling real low now. 13 days apart thanks to Rona. I feel completely drained and zero energy. Not sure when I'll be 💯 yet. Still got the cough but seem to have broken it's back now. Its been one hell of a struggle doing this alone. Yes people have offered to do my shopping and the like. But living alone in what felt like perpetual bullshit and darkness. Ha been very taxing both mentally and physically. Some people have spat their dummy out with me, cos I've taken the time to just sleep. So fkn what if I didnt reply to you instantly. Or the next day. Good times. We threw each other beating that day. Came away with the silverware. Tough Polish opponent on an international level fight card. @Bolwerseventscenter. Wasnt long after this I got destroyed by lad who ended my Career.. 3 ribs separated from my sternum and the cartilage in my right knee was a bit buggered too. The 2 people in this image helped me yesterday. They pulled my head out if my arse, after telling me to go see them. I love them both very much. @bigjuicy3179 (best friend and brother to me) And his awesome misses Kate. I'm glad I have people like them in my life. I cant thank people enough, all I was going to do was go home and be alone, I hate to think I'd be a burden to anyone. I made that video yesterday to get things off of my chest.
