Hello. Welcome to The System Mailbox.
I was tired of this blog not existing, so ... I made it.
What this blog is for: basically, for those that miss sourcemates. Write a letter to them. I'll post it. Any source is allowed, no matter how problematic.
This is not for canon calls. Do that somewhere else.
Anyone can interact. Yes, this includes endos. While this blog is geared toward systems, kin can reblog too. Just know that the ones running this blog are pro-endo and radinclus. We dont endorse attacking anti-endos here.
If you mention who you are, we will tag it as 'from [name]'. if sent to someone, we will tag it as 'to [name]'. if the source is tagged, we will tag it as '[source] letters' (as to avoid main tagging). feel free to ask anything to be tagged with trigger tags.
write your letters here.

When comparing one's system to the systems of others, it's easy to feel invalidated. We're trying to measure up to some kind of standard and are not hitting every mark. This isn't the right thing to do. When it comes to inner worlds or "headspaces", there is no one right way, there is no standard. They come in so many different forms and flavors that they are as unique as the system themselves. So don't worry if your inner world doesn't match, isn't as big, isn't easily accessible or isn't even there all together.

Panel 1: The image is a landscape of a city off in the distance, a path leading hugging the hills leading to it, with a tree to shade the path. The text (in Atom's voice) reads "Some people's inner world is vast, highly detailed, or well known.
Panel 2: There is a simple box house with its color is slapdashed on. Kyra and Atom are standing outside. Kyra says "I'd invite you, but there's no room." The text above reads "Some have less complex, or even limited access to their inner world."
Panel 3: Ian is trying his hardest to produce an innerworld, but all he gets is an error message. He says "Argggh. I just can't seem to see anything!"Jak repsonds with "Don't force it." The text at the top reads "Some may not have one at all."
Panel 4: Jak, Ian, Kyra, and Atom stand at the bottom, and the top reads "Inner wrolds may come in many different forms (or even not at all) so don't worry if your experience doesn't exactly matches someone else's."

It’s likely that we will make mistakes in our healing journey. And that’s okay. We can still heal. We can still grow. And we can learn and do better.

its okay if you have to look up ur pronouns too!
its okay if you have to look up your name! names and memory are hard, especially with pluralhood!

you don’t need to pretend to be happy or strong. showing your emotions gives people the opportunity to give you the love and support you might be needing

being connected to your source does not mean you have to like it. having a relationship with where you come from does not have to mean you stand by the actions of others involved.
this post is inclusive of all systems. - Emilio

Shout out to everyone who doesn’t have a “before”. It can be really isolating, sometimes, seeing everyone talking about a before you were injured, before you became ill, before you were hurt, etc, when you don’t have a time like that, whether it’s due to memory problems or just because it started so early (or both!). Even diagnostic guides and how-to-know-when-to-get-help lists usually have something along the lines of comparing to a baseline, or talking about a change, a turn for the worse.
Your pain isn’t less real because you don’t have anything else to look to, and your future isn’t hopeless because you’ve never known hope in the past. You are not defined by who you used to be, or who you never were.

Oh so now us being like 'our experiences don't fit your narrative' means we want to totally demedicalize DID and OSDD??? Really and truly????

YOU DON’T HAVE TO UNDERSTAND SOMEONE’S EXPERIENCE OR FEEL WHAT THEY FEEL… TO CARE ABOUT THEM! EVERYONE MATTERS!
