Today Ellington asked me to play the guitar so she could sing. We had never done this before but the magic of her improvisational words and melody and my rusty guitar was pure magic. I love being her mom. She is 3 1/2 and amazing.

After a few weeks of refusing to do back floats and holding tightly to dada's neck, you had a stellar day at swim class.  I attribute it to the conversations we've been having with you.  We had conversations about how you were going to do all the things you love to do in swim class...which is everything.  And you did.  And you had so much fun.
