Hey friends are you interested in Wildstar RP?

AKA My Guild is Recruiting and I’m Going to Gush to You About It. 

If you’ve been following me for the last year and a half, you’ve probably seen me mention Fantastic Enterprises a fair bit. In character, FE is a neutral, many-faceted organization founded and run by a famous (if not eccentric) actor named Guy Fantastic.  Out of character, it’s a guild made up of no more than 10 but no less than 10 people who really love making stories together. And we are recruiting. 

The facts are these: 

My introduction to Fantastic Enterprises has felt nothing short of a stroke of luck since I met them. From day one, everyone in this guild has been so chill, and so kind, and so encouraging to me. I’ve grown as a writer, Jeremy’s grown as a character - it’s been an incredible sort of journey. This is a passionate, dedicated, creative group of folks who love making content for the stories they tell. People have asked me what drew me to them to start with, and the answer can be divided up thusly: 

It’s a relatively small collection of folks (I’m shy and awkward, it was appealing). 

Most of them have been rping together for 5+ years already (which is a real good track record for showing how well they all get along).

The GM (@pleasantcowboykid) in particular has been GMing for around 10 years, and writes professionally for a living. 

They made it clear, right off, that they were interested in doing long-term, character driven story development (which is something I’ve never had in an in-game environment before and I realized that I WANTED IT). 

Before Fantastic Enterprises, I didn’t really know RP could be this way. Our GM puts a tremendous amount of effort in crafting long-form story arcs that have continuity and personal meaning to the players/characters involved. She’s in a constant state of planning, and has content organized for the next two years. Granted, things don’t always go as planned. She adapts. One time she took us all out for a one-off adventure to free to djinni from a lamp (which she built THIS FOR, by the WAY. My GOODNESS). We didn’t free it. We kept it. What followed was a two-week AU RP wherein someone accidentally wished Guy Fantastic out of existence and had to scramble to fix it before the time continuum collapsed. It was a gauntlet and it was amazing. 

Actions come with consequences. Events occur that call back to details of things that have happened before. Everything has to do with everything, and I find myself constantly sifting through chat logs, trying to pick up clues of what could happen next. And you know what? I still wind up surprised every time. 

I love these people. They are so committed to fleshing out this fictional world that we’re in, whether that’s through stories, or lore building, or discussion, or art. I love collaborating with them. It has been my favorite thing for the entire time that I’ve known them. 

And so yeah. Thing is we’re recruiting. And there will likely be a more official post about it at some point, but if any of this made you think “hey, that shit’s cool, I want to be in on something like that”, then I highly encourage you to reach out to us. Our circle is super easy to join if you just wanna hang out casually and rp now and then. Guild-wise, we’re really looking out for those who’d want to call FE their main rp home. We have a pretty snazzy forum that we’ve just rolled out, featuring a lore-heavy wiki that showcases all the work we’ve put into building up what Wildstar has given us. We also have a tumblr for more ancillary content, and an in-progress skymap community set at Fantastic Enterprises HQ, located within Emma’s Valley, Galeras. 

It’s been a really awesome time. You should come have an awesome time with us.

Mudmask, through my eyes… I’ve watched Mud’s show up on my dash for a while now, he’s always brought a smile upon my face. I thought I would show my appreciation through some art. I hope my rendition does your character justice. <3 minstrelofmyths

It’s Mudmask! 

Ohhhh my gosh, you guys. I’m sure most of you are already familiar with this handsomely disheveled slice of Troll! I’ll admit… I get a little obsessive looking at ref when I’m working on a character and because of this; I’ve become totally smitten with this kid. I loved working on him SO much it took me forever to finish- I didn’t want it to be over!

I’m also including some terri-bad preliminary sketches from it that I decided to not go with. They didn’t feel like the character enough to me. 

Huge thanks to wethatkindoforc​ for commissioning this full paint and giving me complete reign over the outcome! Now I get to wait for her to do MY commission. MUAHAHA.

We did this re-draw art trade with Jade, and naturally I picked one of the drawings I’ve always loved most, of my two favorite boys, Bron and Muds. Something on your drawing just makes me go all ‘awesome’ and ‘awwwww’ and ‘yesssssss’, so. It was easy pick. :’D <33
