my proposal for the next addition to the f1 calendar:

the m25. just all of the m25. block off the m25 for an entire weekend. make them drive the whole m25 for 50+ laps. i see no issue with this. the London Orbital Circuit. FIA hire me now

Choscar or Maxcar for the 22 (meeting at a wedding) au? :)

It’s not that Oscar isn’t happy for his cousin, or whatever, it’s just. Well. She just happened to hold her wedding on the same day as the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. And it’s going to be the championship decider. So Oscar doesn’t think he’s that insane when he crawls underneath one of the tables in the back of the room just so he can watch a live stream in peace.

Makes him feel even less insane when he finds someone already there.

“Oh, shit, sorry mate,” the guy says, holding up his phone. “Was just trying to catch some F1.”

“Me too,” Oscar says, sort of awkwardly half hunched under the table.

At that, the guy grins, and scoots over. “Join me. I have unlimited data.”

It’s a bit weird, probably. Two grown man shoved under a table watching F1 together. But the guy – who introduces himself as Max – is pretty funny, and he knows his shit, and when it ends, when the race is over and the guests are starting to go home, Oscar finds himself reluctant to move.

“We should do this again sometime, next season,” Max says. “Although maybe on a proper couch next time.”

Oscar laughs. “Yeah, yeah for sure,” he says, and watches Max crawl out from underneath the table. He should send his cousin a thank you note. And maybe some flowers. She deserves flowers.

lance is soooo fair in comparison to Fernando in that Qatar pic but I know he goes outside ... what is Fernando doing to tan so hard?

Hehe I think it’s mainly because afaik Lance spends most of his time now between London/Switzerland/Canada and Fernando lives in Spain/has a place in Dubai. There was a point in like 2019 where Lance was actually very tan (I think he might have been living in Milan at that point… he definitely lived there at some point circa 2019-22), so we know he CAN tan, he just prefers cold climate 😭

But I need to mention that when I was looking up where Fernando lives to double check, I found an article listing all the drivers’ residences, and every single driver is listed separately except Lance and Fernando who are for some reason lumped together 😭😭 like what are they trying to imply here
