See I think that Raph swears, I just think that he also gets on his brothers' asses about swearing. Not like... Actually grilling them on it or anything. Mostly just being an annoying older brother about it. He's not even consistent about it. He'll only call them out about it half the time they even do it

I imagine it's a lot like that scene in, uh... Marvel, when captain America says "language" and everyone around him is like "wtf did this guy just say???" He's like that. To me anyway

I think he can have several motivations for it, mostly to be annoying, but sometimes he's in this "I'm the older brother and they're just babies. They shouldn't be swearing" headspace we know he falls into, especially with Mikey. Sometimes he's just kind of like "idk, I'm supposed to be responsible. This feels like a rule I should be enforcing? Maybe??? Better be safe" probably a few other motivations about it too. These other motivations just might pop up when he's spiraling a little bit about his role in the family and his ability to perform it

But mostly he's just being annoying
