Samyang : 2X Spicy Hot Chicken :: Spiciness Level (0-10) : 10
The famous (or infamous) spicy noodles!!!
Is it spicy? YES.
Is your mouth on fire? YES.
Will you need milk? YES.
Would I eat it again? HELL YES. (Get it? It’s firey...ok I’ll stop.)
These noodles are not for the faint of heart. For those of you brave enough to try it, this one is best made on the stove top.
First, you’ll need a pot and colander.
Put your noodles inside and add enough water to cover the noodles.
Turn your stove on HIGH and let the noodles cook.
Once the noodles are soft, drain the water*** -- this is an important step, you don’t want to drain it completely where there’s no water left, you want to drain it to the point where it’s just dripping and then STOP!
Put the noodles back into the pot. If you drained too much water out, add a tablespoon of water back in (preferably hot water).
The stove should still be on, but change it to MEDIUM heat. Add the spicy sauce (big red packet).
Stir! The bit of water helps spread the sauce. The heat helps the sauce stick to the noodles even better.
Once everything is thoroughly mixed, place it into a bow, and top it off with the seaweed/sesame packet.
Pour yourself a glass of milk, keep the gallon out because you’ll probably need it, and enjoy!

Myojo : Yakisoba Oriental Flavor with Mayonnaise :: Spiciness Level (0-10) : 1
The packaging for these noodles is GENIUS! Usually yakisoba or “dry” noodles need a pot, a colander, and, in general, a lot of work. NOT THIS ONE!
The directions are on the packaging, but in case you miss small details (like me) here’s what you’ll need to do:
Pull back the tab and take out all the seasoning contents. (There are 4!)
You’re going to need scissors to open the contents. First, take out the green package (vegetables), cut it open, and pour it into the square bowl. (So the only items in the bowl should be the dehydrated noodles and the dehydrated vegetables.)
Pour in hot water to the line (see above).
Close the flap back over the lip of the bowl (bend the paper so it stays down without you holding it).
WAIT 3 MINUTES!
After waiting, peel back the “Drain Spout” corner and pour out the water. (This is what gets me so excited! They included a drain spout -- on top of the noodles being delicious, the packaging is genius!)
Take off the flap.
Add the blue (sauce) and red (spice) packets -- again you’ll need scissors (the only flaw in packaging design is that you need scissors to open seasoning packets).
Mix everything up.
Once that’s done, open the mayonnaise packet and drizzle it over the top!
Prepare to be amazed! Who would have known that mayonnaise can be more than just a condiment you put on bread?

Nongshim : Potato Noodle Soup :: Spiciness Level (0-10) : 0
I have never had potato noodles before and after trying this noodle, you’ll wonder why you didn’t try it SOONER!
This is another noodle where a stovetop is BEST, but can be done with a microwave.
Here’s how I do it on the stove:
Grab a pot and place your noodles inside.
Add water, but don’t cover the noodles completely (see photo above). This is important because if you add too much water, the end result will be bland broth -- no one wants that.
Empty the seasoning contents into the pot. (Do this NOW! If you wait, the noodles will boil in plain water vs. seasoned water.)
Turn on your stove to HIGH and let the noodles cook.
When the noodles are soft enough, start separating the noodles.
Turn OFF your stove and pour into a bowl (be careful!).
It’s fricken hot, so don’t eat it right away (I know it smells delicious and you’ll want to, but trust me...don’t do it).
After a minute or two, go ahead and EAT! (By the way: eating with a soup spoon is high recommended because the broth is AMAZING!)

Indomie : Mi Goreng Fried Noodles :: EXTRAS : FRIED EGG
There’s an egg on the packaging -- of course you need an egg!
Here’s how I got a picture perfect fried egg:
Using the same pot (right after cooking your noodles), add some oil on HIGH heat.
Once the oil is heated, crack an egg into the pot. (Immediately, the outer edges of the egg white will start to cook.)
Place the lid on the pot.
Turn down the heat to MEDIUM.
Wait 2-3 minutes.
Open the lid and turn OFF the heat. You’ll have a perfect light pink film over your eggs. (If there is no film, go ahead and keep the stove on, put back on the lid, and give it some extra time -- don’t forget to check on it!)
Place the egg on top of your noodles (optional: sprinkle black pepper on top of the egg).
Break the yolk and EAT!

I’m so glad these noodles have made it to mainstream because they deserve the spotlight they are getting! I remember having these as a kid and bringing it for lunch (I think the other kids were jealous).
These noodles take a bit more work to make, but the end result is worth it!
First and foremost, this is best made in a pot on the stovetop. I’ve tried a microwave only method and it is not the same. (It technically can be done -- let me know if you guys want a microwave only method.)
Get a small pot and place your noodles inside.
Fill the pot with water just enough to cover the noodles.
Turn on the stove and let the noodles cook until the water is bubbling (as seen above). Separate the noodles as well.
Drain the water and place the noodles back in the pot.
Empty the contents on top of the noodles (you’ll probably need scissors unless you’re really strong -- then never mind).
Mix it all up until the sauces have blended evenly on every noodle.
Take a bite and try not to inhale your noodles (like me).

Place your dehydrated noodles in a bowl.
Empty the contents on top.
Add hot water (enough to just cover the noodles).
That’s it! Don’t forget to break up the noodles a bit so you have thoroughly cooked noodles.
It’ll be love at first bite.
