I can’t be the only one that noticed how protective Japan is with the rest of the axis.
He’s around 2,000 years old and significantly older than both Italy and Germany (who are actually relatively young nations)
He sort of just feels the need to take care of them, like when he thought Russia was dangerous he had to confront Germany about it. When he denied it, Japan hid in his roof with a harpoon to make sure Russia didn’t try anything to hurt him.
Tumblr media
Also, with Italy, he feels a strong need to take care of him. Even though he wasn’t big with the cuddling and hugging Italy and stuff, he still eventually got used to it because that’s what Italy needed the most, unconditional love.
Tumblr media
I don’t know about you guys, but even though this guy is small he’s naturally very motherly and cares a lot for his allies. It’s the cutest thing ever and makes their friendship even stronger.

I don't know if this comes as an interest to you or not, but seeing as you have norwegian roots living in italy, maybe I should mention that one of Norway's biggest influencers is half Italian/half norwegian, she is known for being a fitness woman and staying in shape, she has also launched her own pasta sauce, pasta, pizza, bread etc. on top of that she has been part of different tv shows as well as having her own. check her out if you want, her name is Jørgine but she is known as "funkygine"🇳🇴🇮🇹
I just checked out her Instagram account.
She seems a fantastic person, her family is so cute and she is a supporter of the Free Palestine campaign!
I think I'll start following her, thank you anon! 🇮🇹🇳🇴

Romanticism/ Was an artistic, literary, musical and intellectual movement that originated in Europe toward the end of the 18th century and in most areas was at its peak in the approximate period from 1800 to 1850. Romanticism was characterized by its emphasis on emotion and individualism as well as glorification of all the past and nature, preferring the medieval rather than the classical. It was partly a reaction to the Industrial Revolution. The aristocratic social and political norms of the Age of Enlightenment, and the scientific rationalization of nature. It was embodied most strongly in the visual arts, music, and literature, but had a major impact on historiography, education, and the natural sciences. It had a significant and complex effect on politics, and while for much of the Romantic period it was associated with liberalism and radicalism, its long-term effect on the growth of nationalism was perhaps more significant.

To everyone: you are free to send curiosities or anything else about your country, I love cultural exchanges!
besides 'bunad' we also have something called 'festdrakt', which looks like a bunad except it has more "creativity" to it. There is no "rules" when it comes to festdrakt, while bunad on the other hand has more strict rules for how it should look and be worn. I think it's important that I mention one of the biggest differences between a bunad and a festdrakt, is that bunad is the official national costume of norway, while festdrakt is kind of like "a off-brand bunad". festdrakt has grown more popular through the years, especially amongst the younger generation. You should search "festdrakt" on pinterest if you want to see more, there are a lot of beautiful festdrakter out there indeed. But, while I think festdrakt looks beautiful, I really hope the bunad doesn't "die" out in the future…
My favorite ones are Hardanger and Telemark bunad! Last year my Norwegian relatives have sent me many photos of them wearing it during a wedding, beautiful.
Thank you for this trivia and the suggestions! I had already heard of festdrakt, but didn't understand the difference with other pieces of clothing.
Norwegian (and Scandinavian) folk traditions are great and I hope they don't come to an end too, any of them.
Ha en fin dag 💙

Germany does these little dances and whispers off-key songs when he cleans. No one knows. Not even he knows. He's not even aware of it, so focused is he on cleaning. One day Veneziano catches him in the act. And well. He falls a little bit more in love with him...

Imagine having a family that appreciates and finds your passions and projects for the future interesting, but not your parents and sisters.
They never support me, I'm only useful to them when they have to make a good impression in front of other people or as a sort of living encyclopedia.
Sorry for this post, I can't stop thinking about it and not have these kind of moments lately. I really don't want to make any of you sad with these stupid thoughts but I had to write it somewhere...

I finally watched The Sound of Music and like I get it now, I get it.
It’s a beautiful two hour love story of a strict man finally opening his heart again and then a fifty minute public service announcement to hate the nazis. Brilliant.
