okay lemme just rant about childe's voicelines hdhdjs

first of all this. i— he's a masochist omfg i mean i know he loves fighting and everything but DAMN

okay the next few ones,, i might have taken them out of context and just wanted to please my traveler (aether) x childe agenda so uh i apologize in advance ><

first, this one jsjskss he's basically saying "you and i, together, we can conquer anything" okay okay i know he said the harbingers BUT LISTEN DJSJSKS THAT'S BASICALLT THE SAME THING FIGHT ME

"and you, comrade, will be my witness!" ksjdks PLEASE BITCH WANTS TO SHOW OFF AND PROVE HIMSELF TO THE TRAVELER WKJSKS (and well ig prove himself to himself and like from his past but ye)

OKAY NOW LISTEN jsjsks i might be rlly being assuming in this one but that last three lines sjskks childe basically says to not say things such as "im on fire" bc he might get worried and thinking abt the traveler "burning" and turning to ash and being GONE is the last thing he wants jsjsjs

also childe rlly said "don't go yelling stupid things in battle" but also goes:

and also,, fun fact! childe said, in his letter to his sister tonia, that he would GLADLY leave his job as a fatui harbinger to join the traveler in his adventures sjdjjs and we're talking abt the same childe who swore an oath to serve the tsaritsa faithfully, and we all know how childe is one to never break his promises.

Aether x Kaeya HCs.

• Aether loves how Kaeya always smells like fresh linen, ocean waves and lavender. He frequently hugs Kaeya because of those comforting fragrances.

• Their relationship is one built on mutual adoration, respect and trust. Aether always feels safe and calm around him. Kaeya does nothing to discourage such feelings.

• The Knight never does or says anything to make Aether feel awkward, angry, uncertain or sad. Kaeya always gives Aether full, warm respect and kindness.

• Aether frequently gazes at Kaeya in awe because of how everything about him matches the night sky.

• When Kaeya admits to having feelings for him, Aether short-circuits because 'you can't have feelings for me I'm clumsy forgetful and totally lame and short and and and you're devastatingly beautiful, super smart and awesome and-' He's cut off because the Knight kisses him anyway. On the lips.

Aether faints.

• Aether loves hearing stories about his grandfather. In turn, Kaeya loves hearing about his sister and their adventures.

• Kaeya appreciates how Aether always appreciates and respects him. It's a huge difference from his relationship with Diluc, which is always on thin, crackling ice. The feelings he has for Aether differ from those for his step-brother, but it's nice to be in constant contact with someone that's always warm, kind and appreciative of him.

Kaether Headcanons.

• When Aether meets Kaeya for the first time, his face lights up with shock and reverence, as though he is a priest discovering the holiest of treasures. Aether finds himself speechless for a moment, unable to find his voice long enough to speak to the mysterious Knight. Luckily, Paimon hits him on the back of his head.

Kaeya introduces himself. Aether recovers his voice long enough to exclaim: 'wow, you've got a really beautiful name'. It's the first compliment in a series of disorienting, beautiful compliments.

• The reverence towards Kaeya never fades from Aether's eyes. The Traveler's every action and word towards him carries cosmic adoration and disbelief, for Aether finds it impossible to believe Kaeya exists. The Captain finds Aether's energy towards him impossible to compute because mostly everyone writes him off as an untrustworthy criminal.

• Prior to Kaeya becoming a permanent member of Aether's team, the Traveler and Paimon pass by him while attending to errands. During those times, Aether never passes up an opportunity to throw even more compliments at him, three of them being: 'Did you know your hair glimmers beautifully when it's hit by the sunlight? So do your eyes. I don't know if you're prettier at night, or in the daylight ♡'. When Aether says such things to him, Kaeya's just like '??? what? what are words???' because nobody else in Mondstadt talks to him like that.

• So Aether and Paimon are sent on a treasure hunt by none other than Kaeya. At the end of the treasure hunt, Aether beams at him with: 'Kaeya, you don't really have a grandfather, do you? Well, of course you have a grandfather. He just wasn't a pirate, huh?' 'Wow. You really are cute! Creative, too. You have to tell me more of your stories some time. But if you needed our help, you could have just asked. I'll do anything for you-even go to the moon'.

• "Good afternoon, Captain. How's the most beautiful person in all of Teyvat today? You look even prettier than you usually do, by the way, which is saying A LOT because you really are stunning!" This occurs while Aether is en route to see Lisa, and runs into Kaeya inside the Knights' Headquarters. But this encounter ends just as all the others do: Kaeya can't compute anything Aether said, and the Traveler bolts off on another errand.

• Once Kaeya joins the Windscouts as a permanent party member, Aether does not change his mannerisms towards him. He remains sweet, attentive and romantic towards the Calvary Captain, treating him as though he truly is Teyvat's holiest treasure.

Despite Kaeya being able to handle a sword, and Cryo, Aether constantly vows to keep him safe. One episode has him seizing the other's hands and saying: 'don't you worry, Kaeya, I'll protect you from anything and everything'.

• Cue a filler episode in which a flustered, confused Kaeya confides in Amber about Aether's constant barrage of sweet compliments. To someone that's unfamiliar with any praise, and to someone that feels lower than dirt, Kaeya is increasingly frustrated by his friend's remarks.
