Name's Nate, well Nathan, but everyone calls me Nate. I may look like a normal guy but my family is everything but. Believe me or not but my dad is no other than Santa Claus himself. * Independent * semi-selective* Fandomless OC

He stared at Nate for a while. Cam had always been one to listen to his gut feeling and right now it was telling him Nathan was honest. With a huff he plopped down on the couch next to Nate and turned to face him. “Well, of course I noticed your last name but come on, who expects Santa to be real? Your dad is the man in the red suit? And I thought me being a supernatural creature was strange.”
“Yeah, I know. Hence why I’m not telling everyone. But you told me your secret, I told you mine. That’s what friends are for. I don’t have to ask you not to tell anybody, right? You’re basically the only one knowing it, aside from my friends at home.”Â

At that Nate pondered for a few moments, carefully choosing his words. Finally he hummed and raised one shoulder in a shrug. “I always knew there is other magic out there as well, so that doesn’t really come as a surprise I guess. Freaking out would be more than just hypocritical from me. I’m the oldest son of Santa though.” It was only fair to tell Cam his secret too. Right?
That really did something to Cam, something that rarely hapened: He got angry. Nate could have reacted in any way but him making fun of Campbell was too much too handle after he stressed about his confession so much.Â
“Really, Nathan? I’m telling you my deepest secret and you can only joke about it? I get that you don’t want to be friends anymore but you don’t have to be cruel about it. Just leave and stop making fun of me!”
“Hey, whoah, calm your horses! I’m not making fun of you, I told you the truth! I would show you the magic I inherited but I only have it at the North Pole. My dad is really Nicholas Claus, my mother is Mary Claus and I’m the oldest son of the real Santa Claus. Heck my last name is Claus, never wondered about that? Want to see my birth certificate? Campbell, you are literally my best friend and you just told me your secret so I told you mine! And while I’m pretty sure you can show me you’re a wolf, I can’t do the same. So I need you to believe me.”

“Oh boy, you should know by now I don’t laugh at you. I think you’re crazy, not because you just told me you’re a werewolf but because you’re friends with me. So I know that before cour confession. So, werewolf, okay. Can you turn into a real wolf?”
Yet instead of actually feeling relief about his friend reacting like this, Nathan’s reaction rubbed Cam in the wrong way and he frowned. “Why are you so damn cool about this? I just told you I’m a werewolf. Something that only exists in horror movies.”
At that Nate pondered for a few moments, carefully choosing his words. Finally he hummed and raised one shoulder in a shrug. “I always knew there is other magic out there as well, so that doesn’t really come as a surprise I guess. It wasn’t really what he expected. With how Cam was behaving Nate expected way worse. But when the other just spilled what was on his mind, it coaxed a relieved huff out of him. In a world where Santa Claus himself was real with all his Christmas magic, speaking elves and flying reindeers, Nate always knew there was other magic, other things out there. So werewolves. He could live with that.
“You realize you just told me you’re a werewolf? I don’t think there is much you still need to think about now.”
“Nate, didn’t I tell to just let me talk and…” He registered Nate’s words and replayed what he just said before groaning. “Fuck! That’s not how I wanted to tell you.” He shrugged, a tad helplessly. “So, okay, tell me I’m crazy or laugh at me. Go on.”Â
“Oh boy, you should know by now I don’t laugh at you. I think you’re crazy, not because you just told me you’re a werewolf but because you’re friends with me. So I know that before cour confession. So, werewolf, okay. Can you turn into a real wolf?”

He nodded. “Yep, waiting for the subway. Finished work earlier today so I have a bit more free time.” He sighed. “And to answer your other question: It’s not that I don’t get along with them. We just have very different views about certain things. That’s the problem here.” He shrugged.Â
“Oh. But they still want to see you?” Embarrassment flushed her cheeks at how intrusive she was being, not usually so social with strangers. But a certain curiosity had taken hold, prompting Ixchel to stand next to him on the train.Â
“I get what you mean though, about having different views on stuff.” The young woman agreed, one arm stretched up to hold on as the doors shut and the train took off.Â

“They want to see me but I rather stay away. Don’t need the taunting looks and such, you know? They are not okay with my life style, I don’t like theirs. Better for everyone if we are not in the same room.”
He didn’t mind her asking all the questions. Sometimes it was good to talk and share his point of views for a while. “That’s nice. Not many get it.”

“What does fine even mean? Not dead? Cause then yes, I am fine. Better than what happened to me once at least. But if you go for fine meaning good then I will never be fine. Not truly, not completely. Why? Well, because with me being reborn the memories, the burden, were reborn too. I know what happened before. Why do you think I became such a fighter?”

“Okay, just listening. Can do that. Take all the time you need, I have nowhere else to be but here.” Nate confirmed. “So even if it takes the whole night, don’t worry. You’re more important than anything else.”
“Nathan!” Cam hissed. Every word from the other threw him in for a loop. It was frustrating and wearing him down. “Just for one minute stop talking so I can think of the best way to break to you that I am a a werewolf! Cause you really deserve to know but I have absolutely no freaking idea how to tell you! So just keep your mouth shut for a solid minute and let a guy think!” He ranted, not really realizing that he just had spilled his secret.Â

“I haven’t seen mine for a while now. He lives far away, still with my parents, and though he knows my reason he still gets insanely mad when I don’t show up for the holidays.” Nate sighed, feeling a headache coming up. Fights with Ben always had this effect on him.
“But I don’t want you to bother with my family problems. Sorry for making you uncomfortable.”
“You don’t get along with your folks?” Her brows drew together, tone interested in the other’s answer even as the approaching train was sure to drown out the response. Her ears strained to pick up the subdued words and a flush spread across her cheeks, eyes looking anywhere but into his.Â
“Well I mean, if I was that uncomfortable I wouldn’t have said anything. So don’t worry, dude. My name’s Ixchel, by the way…you waiting on the subway?” She asked with a motion towards the opening automatic doors, boot covered feet starting to move on autopilot.Â

He nodded. “Yep, waiting for the subway. Finished work earlier today so I have a bit more free time.” He sighed. “And to answer your other question: It’s not that I don’t get along with them. We just have very different views about certain things. That’s the problem here.” He shrugged.Â

He followed quietly, closing the door and following into the living room where he sat down on the couch. Seeing Cam like this broke his heart and made him even more protective than he already was of the younger one. “Ready to listen, buddy. Or just tell me who’s ass I should kick.”Â
“You should kick nobody’s butt. Just sit there and listen to what I have to say. Even though it’s so incredible hard and I have so idea how I should break it to you. It’s frustrating and it scares me and so I just need to talk, okay?”
“Okay, just listening. Can do that. Take all the time you need, I have nowhere else to be but here.” Nate confirmed. “So even if it takes the whole night, don’t worry. You’re more important than anything else.”

Nate walked next to Cam, always shooting worried glances towards his friend. “I can practically hear you thinking. Whatever it is that you have to tell me, just know you can, okay? I won’t judge you.”
He just casted a look at Nate before walking again, not answering. He wasn’t so sure about the judging part to be honest. Anyway, there were at his apartent and unlocked the door with shaking hands.Â
The minute the door was open, he walked into his living room, throwing the keys on the table and running both hands over his face.Â

“Yeah, sure, man, where do you want to go?” Something was up and if Cam wanted to talk now Nate would listen. What else could he do to help his friend. “We can go wherever you want. It’s cool.”Â
“My apartment. It’s very nearby.” He got to his feet, leaving the rest of his drink. Usually he was against wasting anything but there were more important matters ahead. His heart was beating so fastly, it felt like it would jump out of his chest any moment.  As a result he stayed quiet again, not sure what to say.Â

Nate watched Cam sitting there, completely emotionless, and sighed softly. “I don’t know if I should be insulted or concerned about you being this distracted tonight. Come on, pal, tell me what’s on your mind.” He said and reached out to poke Cam’s arm.Â
Since their got to know each other he never saw the other like this and it scared him. If there was something bothering his friend, he wanted to help and be there.Â
He jerked when Nathan touched him and interrupted his train of thoughts. “Wha…Oh.” Cam realized it wasn’t fair to meet with Nathan and then not talk to him. And maybe it was time to man up and tell him. Even though the simple thought of them not talking to each other after that broke his heart. When did he became so interwined with the other?
“I need to talk to you. But not here. Please.”Â
“Yeah, sure, man, where do you want to go?” Something was up and if Cam wanted to talk now Nate would listen. What else could he do to help his friend. “We can go wherever you want. It’s cool.”Â

Leaning against the booth he was sitting on Cam fiddled with the straw in his glass while staring at the things happening in the bar without actually realizing them. His mind was full with running thoughts, all centered around the guy next to him.
Since their first meeting him and Nate had striked up a friendship that consisted of many messages, calls, video calls and meetings when Nate was in town. Over the weeks Nate had become such an amazing friend and even though Cam still had this little crush for the older one going on, he cherished their friendship way more. And that’s why he was so lost in his thoughts. It didn’t felt right to keep a secret from his friend, his best friend even, and now he was searching for a way to tell Nate he was a werewolf without destroying your friendship and scaring the other way cause he thought Cam was a lunatic.Â
Nate watched Cam sitting there, completely emotionless, and sighed softly. “I don’t know if I should be insulted or concerned about you being this distracted tonight. Come on, pal, tell me what’s on your mind.” He said and reached out to poke Cam’s arm.Â

I need a Single Dad AU with Nate as the dad so badly. He would have a son, maybe four or five years old, and he would love him to no end. Father and son would be a great team, often go to the zoo or other trips together.Â

@trucxnagual || Starter Call

Pressing his cellphone to his ear Nate made his way around a slowly walking old lady. “Ben, listen…Yes, Ben, I know…You know why I weren’t home during the holidays….Of course I care about you!…Benji, that’s not fair…Ben! Ben!..Benjamin!”
Groaning he looked at the screen on his cellphone that told him the call had been disconnected. Little brothers and their tantrums… Groaning again Nate turned around and came face to face with a girl who walked into his direction and there was no way she could have not heard his one-sided conversation. “Little brothers, right?” He tried in a way of an excuse and shrugged.Â
By no means was Ixchel trying to listen in on the stranger’s conversation, but subway stations were cramped and loud and without even realizing it the young shaman found herself crowding in closer to the man with the rising voice. The tone made her flinch, though her face was full of sympathy, eyes darting from his direction to the large clock. Of course the train was late.Â
“It’s uhm..Okay.” The brunette’s voice was meek and she found herself clearing her throat so that he might be able to hear her better. A shy smile upturning full lips.  “I totally get it. Though I think mine would rather chew off his own foot than admit he wants to see me.”Â

“I haven’t seen mine for a while now. He lives far away, still with my parents, and though he knows my reason he still gets insanely mad when I don’t show up for the holidays.” Nate sighed, feeling a headache coming up. Fights with Ben always had this effect on him.
