Carlisle Fabray. 25. Heir to the Fabray fortune. Former star quarterback and definitely out of your league.

If they are ridiculous, why don’t you drop those trousers and share with the whole class - or perhaps you would prefer a more private showing?
I don’t really see how that would make your comments any less ridiculous so I’m good with neither.

Perhaps we need to liven it up then. You want to help me coach high school football this season? It’s my first go at coaching and I could use some guidance from a former star quarterback and beloved friend. I realize it’s not the most thrilling offer, but it’s a couple of hours a week to get away from the office and throw some ball under the sun.
I’m not certain, but I think your father likes me… maybe if I convince him I need the help, he might loosen the leash around your neck a bit?
While you’re probably right about it not being the most thrilling, it’s an improvement to just working all of the time. I would love to help you coach.
I’m sure if anyone could convince him, it would be you.

Why the disdain for the cold, are we experiencing some shrinkage down there, Fabray? I’m sure that won’t be much of an issue for you 😏
Somehow every time you talk to me, your comments get more and more ridiculous.

[ PRIVATE ]
Well, her name is actually Cassie and she’s more-or-less new around here. I supposed I was curious, so I had one of my father’s men track her down… How did you know it was her?
Nonetheless, I’ll make it up to you another night… and I’m sorry, Car.
{ PRIVATE }
Oh god, here comes those jealous feelings again. Need to shove those down.
I saw you talking about her earlier and figured that if you were rain checking me, it must be for the girl who gave you blue balls.
I’m sure you will, but no worries, I’m sure I can find something/someone else to do.

[PRIVATE] Well, I did, but then someone else messaged me and… - rain check?
{ PRIVATE }
Someone else? It wouldn’t happen to be that mysterious redhead from the masquerade, would it?

You better. However, God knows what mischief you’ve been up to in my absence. I’ve been back for weeks, yet I’m only now hearing about these apparent sleepovers of yours?
Business isn’t going to be first if you burn yourself out. Take care of yourself, Carlisle.
Mischief? Please, King, my life is dreadfully boring most of the time. These sleepovers are just something that happen once in a while.
That’s what I keep trying to tell my father. I am, you don’t need to worry about me.

It’s a shame, I had a rather fun night planned out for the two of us. However, since you’re so certain, I’ll drop it.
Thank you, that’s very appreciated.
Did you actually have something planned or were you just saying that?

Mm, there’s no need to get defensive now. Are you afraid you might like it too much, Car?
Not at all. I am very certain that I wouldn’t like it at all.

Perhaps I would.
It’s really quite heartless of you to tease me like this, Fabray. I certainly hope you’re planning on following through with these words. After all, I’ve always been a big believer that every straight boy should have at least one gay adventure in his life, if not more.
Well, then it’s unfortunate for you that you won’t find out.
I think I can afford to be heartless, Clarington. You can believe that all you want, but I am content with no gay adventures in my life and since I’m the straight boy here, sounds like you’re out of luck.

So it might have taken a couple months, and a lot of denial and arguing with producers and directors on my part, but I’ve finally decided to let the lease on my apartment in New York lapse. Granted, after much persuading and a few tears, I still have my job writing and editing for Vogue - albeit it’s long distance now - but I am officially back in Riverdale for good. I’ve got a couple friends packing my stuff up and shipping it to me, but in the mean time I found a nice two bedroom place for about half my rent in New York.
The Broadway side of my life has been amazing, but I think I’ve come to the point where I want to start focusing more on my designs. I’ll probably get back to New York at some point in my future, but for now…I think, for the first time and with perhaps one exception, I’m actually comfortable in Riverdale.
Well, welcome back for good, Kurt. I’m sure there are plenty who are glad to have you back.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and while it shouldn’t be a surprise, Pop’s will of course be having a dinner open to all for those who might not have somewhere to go and have big dinner.
That being said, any disputes, arguments, or issues you might have with another person will be left at the door. This isn’t about who comes from where or who people are, it will be about being thankful for what we have and sharing a meal together.
Honestly, if you don’t have anything positive to say about it, don’t bother. Over the years I’ve heard it all. If you’d like to help out, the more the merrier.
That’s really nice of you to do, Marley. I’d love to help out if I can.

Boring… so, what is it then that really makes Carlisle Fabray’s toes curl in pleasure?
Wouldn’t you like to know?

… Carlisle, if this is your way of telling me you’re seeing my baby sister - of course I would be incredibly happy for the two of you, but you and I are going to have a little talk about boundaries.
Perhaps you could speak to your father about taking some time off?
If I were seeing your sister, don’t you think I would tell you first?
He thinks I have enough off as it is. Business needs to be first, you know.

TEXT || QUINN+CARLISLE
QUINN: Thank you for saying that.
QUINN: Time changes all things, Carl. If they changed for you, maybe they changed for him too?
CARLISLE: Of course.
CARLISLE: Okay, if we both had feelings for each other and decided we would change the “not looking for a relationship” thing, having a secret boyfriend sounds way harder than having a secret hookup.

QUINN: I'm thankful for you.. and I feel guilty for being thankful because it means it was her.
QUINN: Maybe it's something to consider so it doesn't blind side you.
CARLISLE: You don’t need to feel guilty. It’s awful that it was her but you can’t help but be thankful it wasn’t me, I’m thankful that it wasn’t you too.
CARLISLE: Even if I do have feelings for Aiden, we both already agreed we’re not looking for a relationship.
