How about I tell you some personal favorites that I have some history with and the why's? I'm sticking to HPHM MCs, though, because I cannot even attempt HPMA or HPHL.

1. Malcolm Elmswood - I clicked with this mofo the MOMENT I read the very first fic that @cursebreakerelmswood posted. I'm serious. It was like: that's it. He's the friend. He's friend shaped. I want one.

2. Carewyn Cromwell - HAVE YOU SEEN ALL THE WORK @carewyncromwell HAS PUT INTO HER MC? Everyone is just 1 roleplay sesh / 1 fic away from falling in love with this complex bean. I love all her characters.

3. Annie O'Reilly - this bitch is just so damn cool. She's a goof. She's fun. She's stupidly tall. She's an angel of chaos with a surprisingly deep story. God bless @department-shoe-stud

4. The O'Donnell quads - The first moment I read @unfortunate-arrow had four (4) babies I was sent. Done for. I thought it was brilliant. Conor is my baby, tbh.

5. Hannah Ginsburg and Neon Welkin - the very first HPHM art blogs I followed on this fandom

6. Phoebe Harlow - To be quite honest, I love everything @nostalgiaslithersin has done with her characters, but Phoebes gets me hard. And the way she interacts with Wendy is the best.

7. Ethren Whitecross - THE SHEER EFFORT that @hogwartsmysterystory has put into this grumpyass boy is just *chef's kiss*. I lowkey suspect he's half-carrying this Fandom on his own. Truly, I cannot rave enough about the quality of all his work.

There are soooooo many that I love and adore, and I simply cannot choose or mention them all, so if I didn't mention you, know that I do adore your MCs

Future AU - Rowan and Luna in 2020 (Part 1)

Writing about Luna and Rowan was always my favorite part of the headcanon and now that I quit (at least for now) the game, I no longer have any reason to hold myself back from thinking about Future AU scenarios for these two.

(I didn’t mean to make Rowan such a snack, but… it is what it is.)

The year is 2020 (thank you title for revealing it already), it’s around February-March, Luna is 46 and Rowan is 47.

“Doctor Silver, there’s someone here to see you.”

Luna thanked the nurse and went toward the oddly dressed man. He was two meters tall with a top hat that added at least 10 cm to his height, he wore a Hawaiian shirt with a yellow cardigan on top, baggy three quarter pants with black tights underneath and flowery pink shoes.

He straightened up his glasses and gave her a warm smile when he saw her heading his way.

“Hello there-“

“What are you doing here?” she dragged him to the side and gave him an annoyed look.

“Careful, my back.” He said and rubbed the muscles of his lower back.

“And what, in the name of god, are you wearing?” she ignored him and gestured at the unfitting combination of clothes.

“What, no good?” he was surprised. “My students told me top hats are all the rage.”

“Rowan.” She tried to remain calm. “Why are you here, mate?”

“This is a nice hospital-“

“Rowan.” She frowned.

“I’m glad to see you too, Rowan.” He did a bad imitation of her voice. “It’s been so long, how are you doing?”

“I’m working.” Luna reminded him.

“But you were taking a little tea break, weren’t you?”

“I had a three minutes break!” she said defensively. “I’ve been on call for 38 hours now, I think I deserve a bloody break.”

“38 hours?” he raised an eyebrow. “Aren’t you the chief physician?”

“We’re short on stuff these days.” She said. “So I took the load off my colleagues, since I can manage with little to no sleep.”

“Are you sure?” he looked at the bags under her eyes.

She nodded – “I’m fine.”

“Well, since you’re fine and also on a break,“ he gave her a teasing smile when she sighed. “How about a chat?”

“Aren’t you supposed to be at Hogwarts? It’s the middle of the school year.”

“Yes, but it’s also Saturday.”

“It is?” she looked exhausted when she checked her watch. “But I’ve been here since Tuesday.”

“Wow, you are tired, aren’t you?” he gave her a concerned look. “I don’t think I have ever seen you tired before.”

“What do you want, Rowan?!” she snapped at him, then immediately added- “Sorry about that.”

“I was wondering, this whole COVID-19-“

“Oh my god.” Luna rubbed her temples. “Are you seriously still hung up on that?”

“It’s just that you never explained exactly what it is and-“

“Rowan, read the fucking paper! This can’t be the only reason you’re here.”

“Well,” he gave her a guilty look. “There might be something else. You see-“

But before he finished the sentence, Luna was called back to the ER.

“I have to go, we’ll talk about it later.” She said and hurried down the corridor without saying goodbye.

“When? When are you done?” he called after her, but she disappeared behind the ER doors. “Yep, let’s talk later, shall we?” he murmured to himself and sat back on the bench next to the reception.

Crawling out of my well here to say Fuck That Noise. 

You’re entitled to your opinion, Anon, but I gotta say I disagree with you. Brandon’s one of the kindest people I’ve met in a long time. They get so many asks in a day - dozens of them and oftentimes ones they’ve answered countless times before - and not only do they endeavor to answer all of them, but they respond with a level of thoughtfulness and patience that I could only aspire to have. And I’ve seen some of the anons they get. The super passive-aggressive/straight-up rude anons that would frankly warrant a curt answer, and yet they’re oftentimes met with understanding and apologeticness from them. The extent of their empathy is something I admire most about them, and if anything, I think they’re too nice sometimes. 

No offence but you’re not quite as nice as you make yourself out to be. You keep calling yourself a “soft marshmallow” or a “bean” or something but you’ve had some pretty rude interactions with anons/people on here on your part. I found that usually if people go on about how apparently nice they are, chances are they aren’t that nice & it’s not to that extent with you but you have been pretty rude sometimes ngl.

The funny thing is I normally refer to myself that way as an attempt to exhibit self-love, since I’m usually pretty bad about that and I tend to think of being nice as one of the few things that I have going for me. But I didn’t realize it if it was coming across as excessive or pretentious, so I’ll try to keep that in mind. I’d also like to apologize for any points where I’ve messed up, or chosen my words poorly, or else just ran out of patience with someone and been sarcastic or something. I will say that I practically never get angry but that’s not the only way to come off as rude. I’m not exactly sure which incidents you’re referring to but I suppose these kinds of situations can happen when you go against the flow of popular opinions. I always try to balance standing my ground with listening and respecting other folks’ opinions. I also appreciate your being direct, and helping me better myself.

INFPs are also called Healers and Mediators.
