She wanted to tell Zeus not to be. Keller wasn't sorry things didn't work out, she had known early on that it would be over before it really started. Her instinct told her to just say 'you'. That was who she wanted. Zeus himself. "I guess I want someone who wants Keller Paulson. The mechanic, the girl that likes classic rock. Someone who thinks I look just as good in a t-shirt and jeans as a stupid dress. Ya know? I'm so tired of dating guys that see my face and don't give a shit about anything else. Ya know?" Keller answered with a shrug of her shoulders. She sipped at her drink, brown eyes flickering up to meet his gaze across the small table from her. I want you, you idiot..
"Uh..." Zeus mused, having no clue of what else to say. He wanted to say "well, I'm sorry it didn't work out", but he was glad it didn't. He wanted to say "okay, I'll take the opportunity and ask you out" but he couldn't do that either. So instead, he picked his beer and had a sip and listened Keller elaborate, giving her a soft frow as he put the glass down. "Well, then, what did you want him to be? What does Keller want? Not Keller Paulson the actress, Keller the woman who likes fixing cars and driving them and drinks shitty drinks." He asked teasingly, although deep down Zeus was hoping she'd rag along and give him some hits thay maybe he wouldn't screw up but asking her out.

"The last thing I said was that I needed a bloody walk," The Irishwoman shook her head and took the hard bread and cheese greedily. She couldn't eat it all, they needed to have food for their journey. But after being starved, she needed all she could get. "I donne' think I've eaten since they grabbed me. Kept thinkin it was poison." Kaylee muttered over a bite of cheese.
"I think they were going to kill me sooner rather than later. I broke a few noses.. A few dicks.." She adjusted her belt around her waist, happy to be dressed again and not just ogled by the guards she hadn't maimed for getting too close.
Finan held Kaylee for minutes at a time without saying a word. He had been scared as well, not able to reach her in time was his biggest nightmare. "Aye, dunna think about it.Yer here with me, that's all that matters." He murmured into her hair before placing a kiss to her temple.
"Let's eat somethin' first, ye must be starving by now." He knew what it was like not having food available. Temporarily letting go of Kaylee he looked in his saddle bag and retrieved some more hard bread and cheese. It was travelling food but it would have to do for them until the ywere at Cocham.

"I didn't reply to him because he just wants me to introduce him to Christina Hendrix and I don't want to put her through that," Keller rolled her eyes at what else was said about it. Of course he would say she looked deranged. She was not looking forward to pictures of it existing however. Eh, what harm could it do? She was so proud of Zeus, that was nothing to be embarrassed about. Thanking the bartender, she took a drink from the blue green drink and shook her head before even verbally responding. "No, he was a little too much for me." More like he wasn't you. No one was ever going to be able to replace Zeus for her. He was all she could ever want. "He wanted more and I told him I wanted something he couldn't be." Keller answered more honestly than she meant to with a sigh followed by a drink that took half of her glass.
"Fuck, no. That shit it's disgusting." Zeus laughed. It was indeed an awful thing but it came to a point that his bud tastes were already messed up and he stole sips of Keller drink, but that wouldn't come until in an hour or two. He fished his phone again, finally checking the texts he had gotten since the game, finding as always a good number from his family members, including his brother whose text made him snort a laugh. "Orion asks why you haven't replied to all his texts and memes and says you looked, and I quote, like a deranged woman in the crowd and that he'll send captures later." He informed his friend. Ever since he met Keller, his younger brother had pushed Zeus to do anything in relation to the blonde, confess his crush, kiss her, bang her, and still did and Orion and their cousins went far enough to have a bet on whether one day, Zeus would do any of those things. Their drinks were put on the table and he took a small swig from his bottle. "So, it didn't work with the Aussie dude?" He finally asked.

"Always. I'll always come when you need me, Finan." Xavier's voice was breaking but he swallowed thickly. Stepping back, he turned to head to his sharpening wheel and what smithing tools he had available. Anymore all he got to do was sharpen blades and make arrows.
At least if he was sharpening a blade he wasn't thinking about the fact he couldn't hold Finan any longer. But it had to stop. He couldn't continue to do things half way. He loved Finan, all he wanted to hear was that the feelings were returned, that it wasn't only he that held such affection. They kissed, occasionally serviced one another with a hand or mouth- more like Xavier used his mouth. But he always figured they were on the same page.
Finan was a hesitant man. He had been from the beginning. He needed time, he needed privacy, he needed to do things on his own time. Xavier fell hard and he fell fast. Of course he chose Finan.
But Finan said a lot while not saying what Xavier had expected. "Find me when you're ready to choose me too," the man kissed Finan's cheek, cleared his throat and stepped back.
@not-museing-around
Finan couldn't say the words, he just couldn't. He wished that he could, honestly. When Xavier stepped away from him it took all of his strength not to reach for the other man who had been so patient with him already.
"I understand." He spoke softly. "I will." Finan thought he should go to a woman, try to cast this off but he knew already that it would do no good. Xavier was firmly planted in his heart. "Ye'll fight by me side though, in ta shieldwall. I need ye there." If that was all that he could claim for now, he would.

Every last minute that could be stolen, was. Kaylee could have stayed right there for a lifetime.. But they had a duty to the makeshift family they had in this group of guys. Reluctantly, she stepped back from her man, and handed him his shield as she picked up her own.
"We make it and still have out wits about us.. I'll let you do something dirty," Kaylee winked to Finan before following behind Sihtric toward where the other warriors were starting on the wall. Arthur was met with a nod of greeting. "Where will you have me?"
"Ye we're an eejit," Kaylee chuckled at her cheeky remark and brought her hand up and to his shirt hair that she tugged gently when their lips touched. They didn't have long now before the fighting would start.
"I'm sayin' it because it's true. We won't be losin'. Not if I'm there," giving him a warm smile, Kaylee touched her forehead to his. "Exactly. We fight together, we win together.. but this isn't going to be easy. So you best get back to me. If you die I swear to the fuckin gods.."
@not-museing-around
Finan nodded. He had confidence in their skill, along with those of the hardened warriors alongside them. They were Uhtred's wolf pack now and they were feared enemies. He closed his eyes when their foreheads touched.
"Neither of us will die, we'll be right back here when this is done." Finan firmly stated and pressed another kiss to her lips. "Oi! Lovebirds!" Came a shout from behind them where Sihtric was grinning. "Uhtred needs us... shieldwall, I'm guessing."

As one moment of silence turned to two, to three, Danny started to fuss with the hem at the bottom of her dress. Had it always had that dangling string? It was suddenly so interesting, or maybe that was because it kept her from noticing just how thick the air had become. "I.. I can't just not go back, it's my house." And maybe she just didn't think she would ever be able to go back if she left now, like if she started running she would just never stop. But she knew what going back could mean. "But.. But maybe for tonight? Would that be okay?" Danny finally looked over at Travis. How was it that she couldn't get anyone like him to give her their attention? It was always the guys like her now ex. If only he could see her. Like really, fully, see her. Who was she kidding though? "Just until I know he won't be back."
Hearing his beliefs truly confirmed out loud shook a hurricane in him he didn't expect. Staring at her, watching her cry, shed tears for that asshole made his blood boil. He stared out his windshield, gripping his steering wheel til his knuckles turned white. He wasn't reaching for the gear shift, he was confident he couldn't drive right this instance. After a few deep breathes her next sentence shook him right out of anger and into protection. "Then don't go back." He said simply. He stared at her for a second before shaking his head, "I mean, I see two options. You can stay with me, and don't go back for a while. Or I stay with you. I'll sleep on the couch." He adjusted himself to face her, "Whatever you decide is what we'll do."

"I want to be a good girl.. If it means you'll have me." Sophie was more than willing to roll forward onto the bed beneath him. Legs together, lewd body wet and willing, Sophie moaned as she felt his cock stretch her open and fill her. "I was just dreaming that you'd come in my room just like this. I've wanted to feel you like this for so long." She wasn't just some kid anymore, she wasn't a teenage girl with a crush. Sophie was twenty one, a woman, and even if he was her father's best friend, she couldn't help how she craved him any longer. The shallow thrusts inside of her were met with her hips wriggling beneath him to try and grind back on his cock. "Have you been thinking about me, Ezra?"
for as unexpected as the encounter was, there wasn't any doubt about sophie's enthusiasm and heat twisted into a fiery coil inside ezra's stomach at the sound of her asking to be used. "oh, aren't you a good girl," he breathed out, surprise and appreciation coating his voice as ezra pushed and rolled on top of sophie, pinning her to the bed with his weight. groaning, he sheathed himself fully inside of her, feeling the warmth of sophie's pussy wrapping around him as he rubbed against her ass. "have you been waiting for this?" she didn't seem surprised at all by what was happening, and ezra hadn't expected her to be such a willing, well primed play thing, but he wasn't complaining as he drove into her with short, deep thrusts.

Suffering in silence was all that Danielle knew how to do. Whether it was her family, or the men she dated. Who would care anyway, right? Travis. She knew if she said anything he would have made a fuss, just like he was doing now. He was always wondering how she was, always there if she needed but she just couldn't get the words out. Now that she was sitting in the passenger's seat and he was asking her more directly, she summoned a little more courage. "Since the beginning.. More the last month." A tear dripped down her cheek that she quickly swiped away with the tips of her fingers. "I'm.. I'm scared he's going to come back."
When Travis raised his voice, Danny jumped. Though it wasn't necessarily in fear as much as it was surprise. There were so many questions so fast that Danny could only start to answer. "I don't-" She was trying to at least get through the first one though when a pair of hands took her cheeks and forced her gaze. "Noth- I'm okay- Travis-" The rest there was no way to get a word in. It was all a whirlwind and before she knew it he had removed his apron. "You don't have to- It's okay," but because she knew better, she turned on her stool and hopped up to head out of the restaurant once he joined her. "Can we slow down a second, you don't have to leave work- and when you're mad like this your stride gets so long and I have little legs."

Miles supposed she had him there. He opted to button his lip and shrug as he chuckled softly. He supposed he didn't know how to break it to her that he would have given just about anything to be the one to hold her at night. But with an opinion like that about it, who was he to make himself look like a fool? Not today. That didn't stop his eyes from lingering a little on her legs. But just when he thought he might be able to change the subject, he said, "Maybe it's one of those things you figure out because you talked about it. Like changing your future because you know something's going to happen." The man looked up, searching for her eyes. "Tell me you haven't ever thought about me like that."
Amelia laughed lightly, "Exactly," she stated thinking he was agreeing with her. "It's elementary. That's the advice a woman dressed as a hippie will tell you at a carnival. It's all bogus." She shook her head. "Riddles aren't supposed to give you a clear vision. If I'm meant to be looking for someone within my circle, who?" She looked at him with confidence in the fact that he wasn't interested. He wasn't her person, as much as high school and college version of Amelia would have believed him to be the person the psychic was referring to. Level headed Amelia, knows the difference between her reality and a fantasy. "In order for me to believe them, they have to tell me a name, or an initial or something proving to me they know what they're doing. I'm glad you agree." She smiled taking a sip of her drink.

Taking the towel from him with a quiet thank you, she dried her hair before she wrapped the towel around herself. Stepping out, she shook her head. "If resolving this problem means I have to say goodbye to you again, I don't care if it ever gets better, Tavi.. even if that's selfish of me." Bringing one of her hands up to his cheek, she ran a thumb under his cheekbone and down along the edge of his beard. Her eyes lingered on his lips, tempted.. so very tempted to kiss him. But Daisy didn't want to put herself out there and embarrass herself anymore than admitting as much as she had. "I can be packed up in an hour, I'll start the signal bounce so they think we're going the opposite direction."
Tavi had to be satisfied with Daisy saying the she understood, even if she wasn't saying she was happy with his decision. "I know it means a lot to have earned your trust back, Daze. I'm not taking that lightly." Reaching to the hooks on the back of the door, an addition of her since she'd arrived, he passed her the towel while becoming acutely aware just how much this move would be like starting over for them. "I'm sorry, Daisy. Really, I wish we figured out how to resolve this by now. Think you can manage to pack and be ready to go before sundown tonight? I'd don't want to drive through the mountains with headlights on but once we're on the highway then nightfall would be best."

"My special day? Did I forget my birthday?" Joked the illustrator who smiled against her lips and pecked them one more time very softly before moving to do as she asked. He would have set the table even with her protests. He was a gentleman, after all. Who was he to just let her do everything? It was amazing how much happier she was here where things were just the two of them. Solena seemed to enjoy being in her own space, and he couldn't blame her for that. This was her home. Hopefully it would feel more and more like his the longer he was there.
"Of course." Miles grinned and moved over to the container of dog food and as requested he scooped twice and filled the bowl for Neto. Giving the dog a sweet pat on the top of the head before he stood to wash his hands. With the table set, the dog fed, he took a seat to stay out of her way and let his green eyes watch her figure flit around with the last of her dinner preparations. "It smells great, Lena."
Solena squealed in surprise when Miles snuck up behind her. She couldn't help herself, turning into her boyfriend's touch and stealing a quick kiss. "Okay, you can set the table, but that's all. This is your special day, silly!" Sol went back to the pots and pans, pulling lids away, stirring, and then popping the lids back on. Her green eyes looked up at him, spinning gracefully toward the refrigerator, "One beer coming right up."
Having always been a wine girl, Sol had taken literal notes on all of Miles' favorite things and where there were gaps, she filled them in with a million questions for Miles' sister. Billie had even joined her on her grocery hunting stock up for Miles' move in. "Do you mind putting two scoops of kibble in Neto's bowl while I bring the food to the table, amore mio?"

"Mostly I'm a journalist, but I'd like to write a book someday," Tia smiled as she nursed the wine in hand, letting the legs leave the glass clear pink where the liquor touched. It marked it as a good wine, a fancy wine. "Cheers," the brit grinned, leaning forward herself as he shared his name. "How fitting. Dionysius, who owns a vineyard," offering her hand to the charming man, she flashed that pretty little smile. "I'm Tia."
"Writer? What kind?" His eyebrows raised in curiosity and he leaned closer by resting his arms over the table. Dark brown eyes watched her arm, her hand and fingers as she took the glass to her lips. Smiling, he took a sip of his own glass, "a week... I'll make it worth your time. I have a vineyard and winery not very far from here." He had acquired it as soon as he had decided to live among humans again and it had allowed him to get to know others in an easier way. "I'm Dionysus, by the way."

"It is, yeah." Made more difficult by the fact that Miles definitely wouldn't want to move to London and she couldn't just leave her brother back in Brooklyn while she went off to fall in love with this beautiful brit. When they finally made it to her door, she opened it up with a twist of the lock and led them inside. "Here I am. Miles has the room next door but he probably won't be back until late tonight anyway so.." so they would have a little bit of privacy at least. "So are you going to just stand there, or are you going to kiss me already?"
Ben was happy to follow her lead towards the elevator as they held onto her hand. Thankfully it seemed that no one had really noticed the pair walking together. Then again, it wouldn't be the end of the world if they were caught. "It's quite hard having a crush across an ocean isn't it." they teased her once the elevator doors opened. They let her hit her floor number before quickly taking her hand again. The touch was grounding, it tethered them to the moment and reminded them this wasn't some dream. "I pinky promise I'll kiss you a bunch this time." Ben joked next, brushing their arm against hers to tease.

Ryker took a drink from his glass as Knox asked his question. It was good that he did. "She was fine. I think she got a little shaken up, but she's been good. It's tough to tell with her sometimes." Ryker set down his glass and rubbed a hand over the back of his neck. "She doesn't like people worrying even if they should be allowed to worry. Drives me fucking crazy if I'm honest." The Scottish man finished off his drink before pouring another. He personally was happy that Knox had shown up. "She's happier when she's seeing you."
Of course he had no way to know that since they hadn't been speaking, not like he could've done much while she was working anyway but being there for her afterwards would have been nice. "Well, good to hear that." Knox tipped his bottle in his direction, then when Zara moved to kiss him, he patted her thigh playfully and watched her go. "Was she okay?" Knox asked Ryker when the blonde wasn't withing hearing range. "After the incident?" He understood Zara might have wanted them to bond or whatever given how close she and Ryker were, and Knox would get to it but first he wanted to know she'd been okay; he wasn't a jealous man and was glad that she had her friend looking out for her.
