I see posts very often complaining about how male characters are treated like gods and female characters are treated like garbage online and it's one of those things that reminds me my experiences are not universal and that I've Wuxia Cultivated a particularly impenetrable walled garden of friends and significant acquaintances on the internet where I've in fact never seen this happen, without exaggerating. Not one time. For a bit at the start of seeing these posts I thought people were being bitchy and just complaining about like some rando ass comments or something and being paperskinned about it, but the more I saw it from practically a cavalcade of completely unrelated people, the more it became apparent that, no, I'm just so far removed from whatever is going on elsewhere that I speedran right through Whatever Is Going On Outside My Walled Garden and landed in an area completely free of anything like that, and I can tell it's one of those things because sometimes people ask me about things like "Marvel" or "Project Moon" or "Destiny 2" that are likewise precisely categorized as Not Anywhere In My Garden yet I have enough osmotic evidence to conclude these things are discussed outside the walls.
