Andromeda beamed. "I'm good. Thanks for dinner and everything really." She says. "How are you today?"
Part of her wondered if anyone else bothered to ask how the AI was doing. Sounded silly to say outloud but AM wasn't just any computer. And well if she had to be the one to check up on him then so be it. She wouldn't mind either way.
"Wait, this isn't the right level..." Andromeda looked up from the stack of paper she was carrying. She had been sent to transfer paperwork between her level and three one down. She didn't have access to level C4. Her key card didn't allow her 'out of bounds', so to speak....and yet for some odd reason the elevator had taken her here. She had tried to step back in, but someone on a different level had called the elevator. She sighed, knowing she would have to wait. Andromeda stood waiting and silently counting the floor numbers.

A calm, but sharp voice would interrupt her reverie. "You're lost, aren't you?"
It was the machine she worked on. Allied Mastercomputer. He was a brilliant piece of engineering. Quick witted with a razor sharp tongue. He had several methods of seeing, be it his cameras or motion sensors. It's not a shock she'd been spotted so quickly.

She had kept the flowers.
And the shoes.
And the dress.
She brought some of the flowers to work. Putting care into them staying alive and fresh for as long as she could. She filled up an empty vase with water from the breakroom. Andromeda set the base on her desk. To liven up the place a bit. The rest was at her apartment in a similar set up.
Least to say, she was in a better mood than when she had left.

"I um...thanks" she says accepting them. It was surprising to say in the least. The more the night proceed the more this felt like a..date. Andromeda knew who this 'Andrew' really was.
but that was a silly thought. Absolutely absurd one.
Friends gave gifts to eachother. They also invited them to dinner. AM was a computer. The only thing computers 'ate' were lines of codes. But still.

"um I'll have the steak medium well, the featured soup, and the wine you mentioned earlier." Andromeda says after a moment of consideration. "Oh And for desert the peach truffles sounds absolutely divine. I'll have that."
She was going to indulge a little before she returned back to work. Wasn't everyday that she could. As she waited for her food, Andromeda couldn't help but to soak up the environment more.

well she wanted to know more about what she'd be getting... "Um you can go over it." Andromeda says after some thought. Glancing at the menu she could tell there was a few extravagant names on there. Also the pricing wasn't on the menu. The technician was worried about seeming like a cheapsake at this fine establishment.
Ooo. The peach truffles sounded good. She loved peaches.

a few moments later, she was ready. Given that she has never been to this hotel before (not with the amount of dough she's made anyhow), Andromeda had asked for directions earlier.
as she was seated, she couldn't help but to steal a glance around the dining area. There was other seated as well. Some already enjoying their meals and others in the middle of making requests.

"so where is this man you're always yapping about??" Her mother demanded. All she saw was a messy office space and a ridiculously big monitor screen.
"he's here." Andromeda turns to face the office before calling out. "Hey AM?"
The screen flickered to life. "Oh hello Andromeda. Who's this?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"you're telling me you're with a computer...!?"
"yeah! I told you he's different!"

The dress made her feel fancy. She took a few moments to stare at herself in the mirror. Admiring how well it fit her. She looked at her hair and face frowning slightly. "well no sense of being half way.." she mutters to herself.
She brushed her hair to give it a bit of volume

I'm fact she actually recognized the dress. it even came with matching shoes. "No way.." she breathed, talking to herself. This was the exact one she had spotted in a magazine once. Andi only made a passing comment about wishing she had the money for it.
Now here it was.
He already knew AM was attentive but she didn't think he'd get her the dress.

Reservation!?
She just thought it was for delivery!
Not that she was complaining..
She quickly recovered from her surprise and gave the staff member a smile and nod. "I see, thanks for letting me know." Andromeda might as well enjoy it. Live a little

andromeda pondered this as she put the phone back down. She had some time before the food arrived, resuming her watching of TV. Funnily enough she found an old film playing. She recognized it instantly as it was one of the ones she used to act in.
However she found herself thinking back to to AM instead of focusing on the screen.

andromeda laughed at the imagery. "True." She didn't have to question how he got her number since he was The one to book this place. And the hospital ...maybe that have been a lucky guess.
"alright, I'll talk to you when I get back." She put out the cigarette bud, having smoked it up.

She frowned taking another drag. "How's things back at the unit?" She inquired. Andromeda figured she'd find out when she gets back but part of her his impatient to get back to work. She knew about the new opening due to the funeral AM had mentioned earlier.

she shifted so the phone was still on her ear but help up with her shoulder. Trying to get another smoke in. She finally got the lighter to work as she lit another cigarette. Andromeda would have to get another one since this once was on it last leg for lighter fluid.
"alright I'll eat." She sighed giving in.

damn he's good...
"okay okay...you're right about that. I am money conscious" She exhaled, knowing he must have been paying attention to whenever she went to the break room to eat. "Truth is, it's hard for me to stomach food. If I do eat it's gotta be something light. I can't gorge down on food like that"
Then there was the guilt about eating...
She fumbled with her lighter.

"Bribery? what for?" she inquired curiously. she sat down on the couch. it was still some hours before nightfall. she had planned on watching tv to help pass the time before Am had called. not that she mind talking to him. perhaps she was starting to get attached to the AI.

she thought back to the donation he made with it. And even then there was still money left-
"you're really spoiling me, you know that?" She chuckled. Andromeda was hungry, she had skipped breakfast. Coffee and cigarettes, she was certain didn't count as a complete breakfast. But it was one she was familiar with.
Aside from scenic photographs Andromeda wanted to gift AM with something. Something he might like. She thought about the music place she passed by on her way here. She could stop by it before she left tonight.
