OKAY series of polls about sock preferences because i'm a curious autistic fuck:

#my autism exists primarily in my head and feet#and by that i mean#i wear socks but only two specific types of sock- little barely there socks with no seams and grips at the heel so they stay on#(for wearing with sneakers)#and thick fuzzy socks but they must be inside out!!!! if the seam touches my toes i die in real life!!!!#(for wearing with my big boots or around the house)#i didn’t wear socks at all for like two years when i was a kid bc it was my number one meltdown trigger#and most socks that say they’re seamless actually are lies and have very small seams#so for years and years my mom had to buy me special actually seamless socks from a catalog for kids with sensory issues#now i’ve found my own grownup alternatives#but putting shoes on is still the worst and hardest part of my day and it usually takes a few tries to put them on so everything feels okay#now i work from home most days the best part is not having to be distracted by shoes!!#anyway. hello my name is autism and i hate having feet
