This photo of Notre Dame de Paris at night was taken from underneath the pont de l'archevêché during one of our Paris photo tours. The bells of Notre Dame were ringing to mark the anniversary of the 7th January 2015 attack at Charlie Hebdo.

Tamaricciu beach

This photo looks exactly the same as one of the Windows 7 wallpapers and for a very good reason: it was taken at the same place. The main difference is that the small stone construction under the tree was broken when I took my photo whereas it is intact on the wallpaper picture. Lenticular cloud

A huge lenticular cloud over the Aiguille du midi in the French Alps. The path followed by the Mont Blanc Tramway can also be seen on the slope in the before it.

Le Cormet de Roselend, a mountain pass located between Beaufort and Bourg Saint Maurice offers stunning landscapes and numerous hiking paths.

The Roselend lake is one of the two dam lakes above the town of Beaufort. It has an interesting deep blue color under the sun.

Chalets de Miage

This isolated hamlet is at the end of the world: located in a circular valley reached after a steep climb, it would be really quiet save for the roaring torrent at its end.

Busy ibex

This female alpine ibex was busy licking a rock and did not seem too disturbed by my presence. Ibexes are easily seen in the vicinity of the Eagle's Nest refuge near the Bionnassay glacier.
