how do you avoid getting mad if the finale is bad?

I find that the practice of walking away/moving on from stuff that don't deliver value or joy saves me a lot of time and grief.

If I like a show, great. If I don't like it or cease to like it, I walk away. (I won't get back the 45 minutes I spent watching a dull episode by complaining about it in the next 4-5 days.)

I could often find something good about any episode. I may not like the storyline but I can appreciate the acting. I might not like the CGI, but I may like a comics reference.

If I have strong ideas to better the material to suit my liking, I try to create my own content. I write my own stories or I paint the scene I imagine. This helps me appreciate how hard it is to produce content that's easily criticized or taken for granted.

TLDR. My take on tv shows:

Walk away from things I dont enjoy.

Create the content I want.

Sounded ominous to me. Potentially world-ending events would get logged in history.

On the other hand, across time Mon-El reads up on Kara's life, her battles, defeats and victories.

i stopped watching Supergirl but im thinking of watching the finale but im worried about what the show considers as a good ending

I understand. And I can't talk about how others approach the finale but I am hoping it's a good ending for the titular character. Regardless of what happens to every other character (including Mon-El, who I like), I hope the finale makes sense for Kara.

Shipwise, I manage my expectations. More Karamel would be cool but an episode will not really deliver anything close to the amazing fics and headcanons from the fandom (and my own imagination) so I will just try to appreciate the finale for what it is -- a goodbye to a show that for a couple years inspired my creativity and introduced me to one of my favorite couples to this date. 💙

Life is very different. Just taking it day by day. My area is still on quarantine (17 months now?). I hope things are better on your side of the woods.

Yup, I'll watch a replay of it like the 100th episode. I think it'll be a two-hour/two-episode series finale, so I may watch two eps.

Hey my state has reopened so I hope my boss calls me back in! How long do you have left to be on lockdown over there?

My area just went back to a more restrictive lockdown actually. We will have been locked down for 5 months by next week. The way things are going, we will likely still be on some form of quarantine next month.
