A petition against unfair grocery practices, monopolies, and supplier control has been put forward into the House of Commons of Canada. We have until August 24 to reach 100,000 signatures, at which point the government is required to discuss the bill in parliament and issue a response.

The petition is brought forth by MP Matthew Green of Hamilton Centre (NDP). It was also supported behind the scenes by MP Adam Van Koverden (L) and MP Bardish Chagger (L).

According to the organizer no Conservative MPs were interested in discussing or supporting the bill.

All Canadian residents are encouraged to sign if your grocery bill has gotten ridiculous.
