Apps You Could Be Using: Kahoot
Kahoot
With student devices or computers, Kahoot can become a great way to get an assessment on how your students understood certain material. Kahoot will allow you to create a quiz, and have students take the quiz question by question by entering your class code on their device. You pick the amount of time students have to answer and the number of questions.
I’ve used a similar service, Socrative, but I like Kahoot because because it is very visually pleasing, has great music and customization options and keeps a ‘Top 5’ leaderboard during the quiz/game to add some recognition for the top 5 and a goal for the others in the class. The best way to get to know Kahoot is to try it out for yourself! Have fun coming up with a new way to run review games, exit tickets, or even have students create their own quizzes for one another.
