star wars fans, why do you hate Satine?

and don’t say:

“she committed cultural genocide” (she didn’t)

“she banned mandalorians from wearing armor” (also not true. look at her guards)

“she’s mean” (she’s not. if anything, she’s snarky and sarcastic. yall just hate a confident woman)

“she banned mandalorians from speaking mando’a” (entirely false. she’s one of the only characters in tcw who actually speaks mando’a on screen)

“she exiled Bo-Katan. her own sister!” (right. Bo-Katan. Satine’s sister. Satine’s sister who joined a terrorist group. a terrorist group that was exiled from mandalore for, y’know, being terrorists)

“she gets in the way of [insert literally any obi-wan/male character ship here]!” (you know that most people fall in love with other people after one relationship ends, right? satine isn’t getting in the way of anything girl. if she and obi-wan were even together at all, they’re not anymore. also polyamory exists too)

“she’s anti-war!” (wow a character who is anti-war in the anti-war franchise. how novel)

“she banned warfare, which is the mandalorians’ culture!” (yeah, because it was self-destructive. her entire planet was defoliated because of war, she grew up with war and watched her people be killed all around her due to a civil war that had been going on for centuries. and getting rid of aspects of culture because they’re harmful is not a new thing. look at Maya people for instance, they still exist and still perform rituals, but obviously the human sacrifice bit has been eradicated. because it’s harmful.)

give me an ACTUAL, valid reason that you hate Satine. go.

au where anakin doesn't become a jedi and meets obi wan as an adult and they get close anyway. ideally as little as possible changes about their dynamic for the greatest comedic potential - instead of being obi wan's weird emo apprentice he's obi wan's weird emo mechanic. he has even less reason for constantly hanging around obi wan but he does it anyway, e.g. going along on missions a. because he would get involved in important galactic events anyway and might as well be supervised by a jedi while he does it, b. because he is still weirdly codependent with obi wan for some reason, and c. for the hell of it
